On December 13, we began this series, SENT, and we saw that Jesus was SENT as The Coming Lord to claim His crown as King. On the 20th, the Sunday before Christmas, we jumped ahead in this series and we looked at the fact that Jesus was also SENT as The Coming Christ to exclaim the Good News. Last week we saw that Jesus is SENT as The Coming Deliver to reclaim His people from exile. And so this week we are going to continue the series SENT as we see that Jesus is… SENT as the Coming Deliver to reclaim His people from exile.

We are fast approaching, in what I believe to be the MOST IMPORTANT Election in my lifetime and I am sure that I could say even in your lifetime… Many would tell preachers that they cannot be talking or preaching politics from the pulpit, in fact anytime people come together the old saying is that you should not mix politics and religion because it has divided many of families and nations… and if the truth be known even the Church! The purpose of this message this morning is to help you come to the understanding or maybe help you to come to realize the importance of the Christian Vote and more particular… How To Vote! Now I didn’t say that I am going to tell you WHO to vote for… BUT HOW To VOTE!

Dear Pastors,

We regret to announce the cancellation of our 2020 West Virginia Nazarene Family Camp.

Due to recent increases in COVID cases connected to churches as well as conversations with local and state health officials, on Mon- day evening of this week, our Camp Board voted unanimously to cancel our July 12-19 Family Camp.

We are working hard to put together a tech team that will assist us in preparing for a virtual camp (online) meeting during the previ- ously scheduled dates. An online giving option has already been established so that we can support our camp as we normally would by passing the plates.

On Monday, July 13th, we will host a live ordination service at the tabernacle for just the ordinands and their immediate families. Our General Superintendent, Dr. Carla Sunberg, will be with us to preside. We will be doing our best to prepare a virtual clergy choir for the traditional ordination music.

We know this is disheartening news for so many, but we also know that we are called to make wise and sound decisions that benefit our people and churches.

These are strange, challenging, and difficult days but our God still reigns and is in full control of everything. And we know that we can trust him!
We will communicate our plans for our “virtual campmeeting” in the coming days.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter and for the love and support you give to our great camp! Blessings!
