As members of the Interfaith Coalition of Douglas County we want to extend our prayers for comfort and peace. As we say, we believe every person is a beloved child of God. May we strive for a world that sees that belovedness too.

We all have family, friends, and neighbors with different political perspectives. Through our baptismal covenant we commit to seeing Christ in all and respecting the dignity of all people. Today with Braver Angels we expressed our discipleship by practicing dialogue skills on a tough topic and in a safe place. So that as we go about our week we may engage others with dignity, affirming the belovedness of all.

The Easter Triduum is here. Join us as we journey with Jesus from the Last Supper through the resurrection. We cannot rush through the sorrow, grief, and pain; we must bear witness to the suffering and struggle. With open hearts we embrace the messiness of this human life, not to rush through to joy, but to be drawn closer to God and one another - for there we find eternal love.

See you this evening for Maundy Thursday, we celebrate the Last Supper and Jesus' commandment to love.
