You may not know this, but Nepal is where TRIAD began. Twenty-five years ago we walked into the Himalayas when the church there was still small and scattered, just a handful of believers holding on across a few valleys.
Since then, that church has grown, and today the work is carried by Nepali believers and partners we've walked alongside ever since.

Yesterday morning an avalanche of ice and rock came off the mountains along the Nepal-Tibet border and sent a wall of water down the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers. It tore through villages in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, and Chitwan. Homes and bridges are gone, and hundreds of people are still missing.
These are communities we know.
Members of our team are already there, and the relationships go back twenty-five years. That's why help can move now: urgent needs first, then the long work of staying with these communities after the water goes down and the news moves on.
We're keeping this open through the end of September, and I'll report back to you on what your gift made possible.
Whether or not you're able to give, pray. Pray for the families still waiting to hear about someone. Pray for the crews working through the night. Pray for the believers in those valleys as they carry their neighbors.
Thank you for standing with them.
