Missing the forest for the trees. The disciples asked Jesus after he was raised from the dead if he would overthrow the roman rulers and change the jewish people's situation. The disciples literally interrupted Jesus's instructions to go and make disciples, to wait until they had power to fulfill the mission. They were focused on a single tree, a particular situation, so focused that they missed the forest. In this short message we will look at scripture and see how easy it is to have selective attention spiritually. To see in part but completely miss the overall vision of God for our lives.

We are excited to announce a new community event where we help children learn about Jesus, sports and art. For 3 weeks, we will gather at Central Middle School and offer Basketball, Volleyball, baseball, and art tracks. This will be a free event, and each night there will be a devotion given. We will utilize the two gyms inside and, pending the weather, the outside. Ages 6-12. Parents are welcome to hang out and support their child.
Who is serving and leading the different tracks being offered?
• We have a Caledonia teacher and artist leading our art track,
• a pastor and upward coach leading our basketball track,
• our kids ministry pastor, a lifelong volleyball player who works at Central will be leading our volleyball track,
• our youth pastors who are both lifelong softball / baseball players leading our baseball track.
