Some remodeling will be happening in the church, limiting our storage space so we're clearing out everything -- clothes, shoes, odds & ends, artificial Christmas tree and a large box of Christmas decor -- everything that's left will be packed up and taken to a thrift store. Stop and check it out. All items free for the taking. Note: Our Blessing Box will still be available during indoor remodeling.

Pastor Ryan began a sermon series on the book of Haggai yesterday. In whose "house" do your priorities lay? The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated weekly, childcare is available, and a weekly fellowship meal takes place too. Anyone needing to be fed, bodily or spiritually is welcome to attend. **** The church blessing box holds mostly food items at present, that will be rectified soon with more daily essentials and some cold weather gear to come.

Sunday, December 14 the third candle of the Advent season, the candle of joy, was lit. Pastor Ryan spoke about joy. The joy the angels felt at the birth of our Savior King, Jesus Christ and how they shared it, bringing news of GREAT JOY that shall be to all people. And who were the first to hear? The lowly shepherds, keeping watch over their flocks by night. They visited the manger to see the infant Jesus and returned REJOICING! The Magi traveled nearly 1000 miles to pay homage to this King of Kings -- not an earthly king but our Heavenly King. What JOY they must have felt as they knew prophecy had been fulfilled at His coming! We can hold fast to that joy even today.
