As we continue preparing for our 160th Church Anniversary, the excitement continues to grow! We are delighted to announce our 1st Church Banquet. Join us for an elegant evening of fellowship, dinner, inspiration and celebration as we come together to honor God for 160 years of His faithfulness to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. We’re so excited about our amazing guest speaker, Minister Terrell Wallace, and can’t wait to hear the inspiring word she has prepared for us! Happy Anniversary to our members, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Brown.

60 Years of Love: Jane and Billy Brown celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary ❤️

Jane and Billy married on Aug. 20, 1966 after first getting to know each other as students at Givens High School, where they graduated together in 1963. Jane was also friends with Billy’s sister, which helped bring the two together.

Billy retired from James Hodge and later ran Brown Meat Market, while Jane is a retired Paris ISD teacher who still enjoys substituting.

After six decades together, the Browns say faithfulness to each other and to God, along with good communication, are the keys to a lasting marriage. They know every day isn't a good day, but they continue to work through life together.

For Jane, one of the most special moments of their marriage came after 30 years, when they had been approved to adopt a child—only for her to discover she was pregnant with their now-only son, Christopher.

Congratulations to Jane and Billy on 60 years of marriage, memories and love!
