Intercessors don’t just pray. They stand between. Between judgment and mercy.
Between chaos and covering. Between what is forming and what could destroy.

An intercessor deal with, what others ignore.

They sense the shift in the atmosphere.
They wake up at 3AM with a burden they can’t explain. They carry names in prayer that no one knows they’re carrying.

Ezekiel 22:30 says,
“I searched for someone who would stand in the gap…” Stand. Not scroll. Not spectate. Not criticize. Not talk about to everyone else….

Stand. Intercessors don’t need credit. They need obedience. They are the unseen pillars holding up families. The quiet warriors guarding churches. The ones pushing back darkness no one else even realizes was coming.

They don’t just talk about problems. They stand in faith, over them. They don’t just complain about culture. They confront it in the spirit. They understand something powerful…

Prayer is not passive. It is intervention. It is active. When an intercessor opens their mouth, things change. When an intercessor kneels, atmospheres shift. When an intercessor weeps, heaven responds.

You may never see all the battles you prevented. You may never know what didn’t happen because you prayed. But eternity does.

And if you’ve ever felt a weight to pray
that didn’t make sense, a burden for someone else’s breakthrough,
a stirring to fight in the spirit,

You’re not “too much.” You’re called.
And heaven is looking for those who will stand in the gap and not move.

"The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to add firewood and arrange the burnt offering on the fire and burn the fat of the fellowship offerings on it." Leviticus 6:12-13.

I love the Old Testament. As I trek with the Israelites on journey with God, the parallels of my own journey teach me with every verse I digest. This particular verse has popped up twice this week during my studies. In my experience that is reason to sit up and take note!

As new testament Christians we are a royal priesthood and every morning we can freely come to the altar and as we place the firewood (our praise) on the fire, place the burnt offering (our confession) and burn the fat on it (our prayers) we will encounter the God of the universe every time in a powerful way.

Notice this was a command. The fire MUST be kept burning.

The fire MUST be kept burning. I could write for days about the ways the enemy comes at us to attempt to extinguish our fire. He seems to be coming at me full force in recent days.

And as God's word always does, He gives us the perfect prescription for victory. The fire MUST be kept burning.

This also brings me to 2 Timothy 1:6:
"For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands."

What flame in you has been reduced to embers by the enemy? FAN IT!!!!! And then watch God resurrect a fire in you that will burn for Him and change you from the inside out!

So grab your firewood, arrange the offering and burn the fat. EVERY day!

‪If the God you follow is manageable, then you are following the god you created, not the God who created you.‬

Some days are harder than others.
Some days we march into battle with God, on the front lines and in the trenches.
Some days we wrestle with God for answers.
Some days we rejoice with God in the miracles.
Some days we collapse into His arms and hold on tight to HOPE as He holds us tight till a new day dawns.

And some days are all of the above, all wrapped up in a short 24 hrs. span.

Yes it's an incredible ride. Not always pleasant, but always WORTH it.

“To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.”
- C.S. Lewis

The Bible says these precious ones don’t worry at all and neither should we. The limb they live on and feed on came crashing down in the night. Yet here they are, singing, eating and carrying on. Sometimes carrying on in the midst of the rut or disaster is the greatest test of our faith! Carry on today. And sing about it at some point! Your faith will grow and God is near to pour His peace over you in spite of your circumstances!
