Reminder for Tonight: No Bible Study

There will be no Bible Study this evening. While we are not gathering in person, please take time tonight to reflect on Sunday’s message:
“What Would Be Your Last Sayings?”
(Inspired by the final words of Jesus.)

For Meditation & Study Tonight
Spend a few quiet moments reading and meditating on Jesus’ final words on the cross:

Forgiveness — “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34)

Assurance & Hope — “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” (Luke 23:43)

Love & Connection — “Woman, here is your son…” (John 19:26–27)

Trust & Surrender — “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” (Luke 23:46)

Completion — “It is finished.” (John 19:30)

Questions to Ponder
1. If today were your final opportunity to leave a lasting word with those you love, what legacy would your words carry?

2. How do Jesus’ final words challenge the way you speak, love, and forgive today?

Enjoy your evening, stay blessed, and we look forward to gathering again soon.

Lady Gloria Rollerson walked us through the seven last sayings of Jesus, showing that even in His final moments, He spoke life, love, and purpose. When your time comes, what will your last words speak?

Bible Study Recap — Colossians 3:1–4

Taught by Elder George Johnson

Tonight’s lesson reminded us that because we have been raised with Christ, our lives must reflect a higher calling. Elder Johnson encouraged us to shift our focus upward—toward the things of God—and not be consumed by the distractions of this world.

He taught that:

• We must seek the things above, aligning our desires with God’s kingdom.
• We must set our minds on spiritual priorities, guarding our thoughts from earthly chaos.
• Our true life is hidden with Christ, meaning our identity and security are found in Him alone.
• And when Christ returns, we will appear with Him in glory, giving us hope and motivation to live holy today.

This passage challenges us to live like people who have been transformed—thinking higher, walking differently, and keeping our eyes on Christ.
