“Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?”

This is the question Paul the Apostle asked the disciples of John the Baptist in Acts chapter 19.

When he realized they did not understand what he was talking about—and were unfamiliar with the message of Jesus—they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus… and they were filled with the Holy Ghost.

Paul did not belittle these men for what they did not know.
Neither did he leave them the way he found them.

He completed their understanding.
He brought them into the fullness of the Gospel.

No one can be obedient to a message they’ve never heard.
These men were doing the best they could with the knowledge they had.

That’s all any of us can do.
And it matters that we do it.

Faithful stewardship of what we’ve been given
often opens the door to greater understanding.

Paul understood there was more. Much more.

These men were faithful to the message they had received—
and it positioned them to receive the message Paul carried.

Tomorrow is Palm Sunday, and we’re looking forward to a special time together.

Brother Jim will be ministering and leading us in Communion.

We would love for you to be with us.

Come prayerful… and come expecting God to move in a powerful way in our midst. 🙌

Good afternoon, everyone.

We will not be having Bible study this evening due to an unexpected maintenance issue that needs our attention.

Thank you for your understanding. Please enjoy your evening, and we look forward to seeing you all on Sunday.

God bless,
Pastor Lynn

Good afternoon,

It is with great regret that we are canceling our services for tomorrow morning.

There is still a considerable amount of ice on the ground, making it dangerous to enter and exit buildings, and another hard freeze is expected tonight.

I have received reports of multiple individuals connected to our church family who have already taken falls, and I do not want to place anyone at further risk.

Your safety is important to us, and we appreciate your understanding as we err on the side of caution.

God bless,
Pastor Lynn

Good morning!

I hope everyone is beginning to thaw out.

While most streets in Paris are becoming more passable, getting into and out of buildings can still be quite slick and dangerous. Our church parking lot remains covered with ice.

Out of an abundance of caution and for everyone’s safety, we will not have Bible study this evening. With warmer temperatures ahead, we expect conditions to be clear by Sunday.

God bless,
Pastor Lynn

Good morning!

It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood, and I hope you’re all doing well.

Based on current road conditions—and in anticipation of what is expected—we will regrettably not be holding services tomorrow.

Please enjoy your weekend, stay safe, and take good care.

God bless,
Pastor Lynn
