One of my favorite lines from Gladiator is: “What we do in life echoes in eternity.” It’s just so epic.

This Sunday we’ll explore what God does with those echoes.

Through Rembrandt’s Return of the Prodigal Son, Paul’s vision of reconciliation in Colossians, and Jesus’ story of a father who never stops welcoming his children home, we’ll consider the God who restores what has been broken and invites us to the feast.

Worship and Communion at 10:45am. Afterwards, we’ll celebrate our college graduates, Emma Wiley and Jr Montgomery! All are welcome.

Romans 12: 1-2 teaches us that true and proper worship is the offering of our body as a living sacrifice to the Lord. We are encouraged to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

After spending a chunk of this post-rain week gardening, pruning, and chainsawing, I found myself thinking about a biblical question:

Are we bearing fruit, or just taking up space?

In Luke 13:6-9, Jesus tells a story that challenges us to consider what our lives are producing - and what God might be cultivating in us.

Join us tomorrow at 10:45am.

See you in the morning,

- Darnaby
