With the vision to propagate Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s message – “Welfare of all living beings,” as mentioned in the Shikshapatri, H.H Shastri Shri Dharmajivandasji Swami founded the first educational, cultural, and socio-spiritual non-profit organization being Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Rajkot in 1948. The Gurukul presently has over 30 branches and centers throughout India, USA, and South America. N
early 100,000 alumni have already received value based education and currently over 20,000 students receive value based education integrated with science and spirituality at the schools and colleges of the Gurukul. Shastriji Maharaj also conducted various spiritual and social services through the Gurukul. In his divine mission, he was duly supported by Purani Swami Shri Premprakashdasji Swami and a renowned scholar and poet, devotee Shri Tribhuvanbhai Gaurishankar Vyas. After the demise of H.H Shastriji Maharaj, with the divine blessings of H.H Shri Jogi Swami and under the leadership of H.H Devkrushnadasji Swami, over 200 humble Santos with the help of thousands of students and disciples all around the world organize and manage various spiritual, educational, and social activities of the Gurukul while maintaining the balance between spirituality and modernity with the aim to create a moral, ethical, and serene society.
