Lent marches on! This Sunday is the Third Sunday in Lent and we are pleased to have Pastor Lauri Craig lead us in worship. We’ll hear about Moses leading the Israelites through the wilderness. “Is the Lord among us or not?”

Our second session of Soup and Prayers will be held tonight at 6:30 in the Family Room. Our program is entitled Life in the Promised Land. All are invited! Each session stands alone, so please join the group even if you weren’t able to come last week. The soup is exceptional and the discussion even better! Plus you don’t have to cook tonight!

This Saturday the Crafty Ladies group meets at 10:00 in the office building. Come one, come all!! Bring any half-done craft you’ve been meaning to finish! No time like the present!

Please remember during this season of Lent we will be collecting items for Corinne’s Cupboard. Check the insert in the bulletin for the items we need. And please remember the items are size specific.

Don’t forget daylight savings time comes back this weekend. Turn your clocks forward Saturday night so you get to church at the right time Sunday morning!

Tonight is our first session of our Lenten Soup and Prayers. This season our discussion will be centered around Life in the Promised Land. If you’ve never come before, now’s the time to give it a try!

The conversation is good and so are the soups! Join us tonight downstairs in the Family Room at 6:30pm.

Our annual Lenten ministry is also back! Once again, we will collect items for Corinne’s Cupboard, in partnership with the Center for Food Action. Check out the display in the back of the church to see what items we need. We will be assembling backpack snack packs for Bergen County children who are in need of food on the weekends. These snack pack ingredients are size-specific so please check the display before making any purchases. Any questions check with Jan Behnke or Rosemary Chandra.

God recycles. He made you from dust.

We’re starting our Soup & Prayers Lenten program this Wednesday at 6:30pm in the Family Room. No experience required and a delicious dinner will be provided. Great food and fellowship…we’d love to see new faces.

Welcome to the season of Lent. The opulence of Fat Tuesday is behind us now. Lent begins officially today. Today is Ash Wednesday. Join us tonight for our 8:00pm service. Pastor Tim Dunn will be presiding over our service and leading us in Holy Communion. Come and begin Lent with your church family.

This Sunday is the First Sunday in Lent. We welcome once again Seminarian Daniel Marrone. Our service begins at 10:00am.

Immediately following our service, there will be a council meeting. All council members are asked to attend.

Looking ahead, next Wednesday, the 25th, is our first session of Soup and Prayers. We will be gathering downstairs in the Family Room at 6:30pm. The program this year is entitled “Life in the Promised Land.” If you haven’t joined the group before, consider coming this year. The soups are great and the discussion even better. Sign up on the sheet at the back of the sanctuary.

“One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

Welcome to the humbling season of Lent.
