FAITH is a powerful word. This is a word that should remind us that we don’t have to see things change through our human eyes to believe God is with us or moving mountains on our behalf. Our job is to believe in God’s goodness and that His divine timing is better than our timing in every situation. Faith means we must always walk by faith, not by sight.

F - Feel God’s love for you by spending time with Him daily.
A - Accept all the good God has for you; He loves you.
I - Invite God into your heart and feel His presence engulf you.
T - Talk to God and listen for His response.
H - Have deeper faith by believing in God’s miracles to bless you.

Hebrews 11:1-3 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

When you are faced with difficult things, a sickness, a loss, financial problems, struggles in the workplace or within your family or friend group, whatever it may be, do you find yourself struggling with giving up complete control and letting God take the lead?

You see, God never asked us to solve our problems; in fact, it gives Him great joy when we move out of the driver’s seat and invite Him to drive while we sit patiently in the passenger seat, just giving our souls a much-needed rest from the constant worry. God is not fear or anxiety; that is simply the enemy at work trying to convince you that any problem is too big for God, which is entirely false.

Pray and encourage yourself to get in alignment with God’s will. Invite Him in to solve the problem. Even though you don’t see things changing as quickly as you want, respect God’s divine timing in all situations. Wouldn’t you rather put your faith in God, who can see down the road, around the corner, and has your future in the palm of His hands, OR are you going to trust what you see through your human eyes and go about it alone, hoping for the best?

2 Kings 6:16-17 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

What does it mean to truly have a servant’s heart? Isn’t this something we should be striving for every day? For even Jesus came to this earth to serve, and so daily, we should hold ourselves accountable to do the same.

Whether you hold a position of leadership in business, your church, a group, etc., or not, we all are given an opportunity to influence others in some way by serving them from the heart and walking with grace.

Remember, Jesus redefined greatness and leadership, not by sitting back and being served but by stepping forward and serving.

Mark 10:45 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.

The world will try to convince you that your purpose on this earth is about money, status, or accomplishments. That is NOT God’s truth; don’t believe that lie from the enemy.

Your purpose has always been about love. God made you perfect in His image and equipped you fully for the special mission YOU and you alone have on this earth. Your soul has that knowing tucked away, so if you are struggling, pray and ask God to reveal your divine purpose and for Him to open the doors for that purpose and your gifts to be used in His mighty name.

Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.

In this new year, will you put in the time and do the work necessary to change? Jesus says, “You can’t have a new life with old thinking.” If you think you’ve reached your limits, then you have. If you think the problem is too big, then it is. If you think you’ll never get ahead or achieve your dreams, you won’t. It’s not that God doesn’t have blessings, favor, and increase. It’s that your “wineskin” is old. You must first pray and then incorporate a new mindset. Start believing bigger, dreaming bigger, expecting bigger. Your circumstances do not limit you because one touch of God’s favor will catapult you ahead, and those are miracles.

Luke 5:37-38 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will run out, and the wineskins will be ruined. No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins.

Do you completely trust God with all things? Do you know that the plans you have for yourself are small in comparison to what God has planned for your life? Here are a few ways to trust God completely with your life:
(1) Remember everything God has already done for you in the past. (2) Think of all the ways God is good to you right now.
(3) Give it all to God; He has a better way.
(4) Re-give it all to God as often as needed.
(5) Thank God daily for His faithfulness and goodness.

Mark 11:24 Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Did you know that God has such grace and unconditional love for each of us, His children, that each day, He gives us a chance to renew, start fresh, and move closer to Him? As we begin a brand new year, will you let go of the old and place Jesus first in your life, in all things?
