🎓🎉We had a blast celebrating our graduating Seniors last Tuesday night with our annual Senior Sendoff! The beautiful spring evening was complete with Chipotle, yard games, speeches from leaders and students, and commissioning prayer. We are so proud of our graduating Class of 2026 and look forward to continuing to celebrate them on Senior Sunday on May 31.

A few highlights from our April Women’s Retreat at the St Mary of Providence Center. It was a beautiful weekend of conversation, connection, workshops, and inspiring talks from Frances Penick. So thankful for the Insight Women’s Ministry Team — especially Allison and Emily — for the care and thoughtfulness behind every detail of the weekend. We’re already looking forward to next year!

🎥🍿🎞️This Friday at 6 pm!

Experience a 75-minute original documentary, created from interviews with more than 50 present and former parishioners and staff, sharing the stories that have shaped our church across generations.

Together we will celebrate in worship, including a special dance performance—responding to God’s work.

After the documentary video and worship, stay for a catered reception featuring a delicious spread including pork sliders, cocktail meatballs, grilled vegetables with hummus and pita crisps, and a variety of desserts as we reconnect and celebrate together.

Our Maundy Thursday service is generally solemn and reflective, but Jack’s missing sermon page had us all giggling for a few moments. We’re so thankful for preachers who remind us of what Christ has done, with or without notes!

As we continue to celebrate Epiphanytide we thought we’d share this wonderful reflection from Fr Matthew from the day after Epiphany.

🕯️Make sure to save the date for Candlemas on Sunday, February 1 at 6pm in the Chapel where we will officially close out the Epiphany season.

Christmas Eve at Church of the Good Samaritan

Isaiah 9. 2 – 7
The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who lived in a land of deep darkness—on them light has shined. You have multiplied the nation, you have increased its joy; they rejoice before you as with joy at the harvest, as people exult when dividing plunder. For the yoke of their burden, and the bar across their shoulders, the rod of their oppressor, you have broken as on the day of Midian. For all the boots of the tramping warriors
and all the garments rolled in blood shall be burned as fuel for the fire. For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders; and he is named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His authority shall grow continually, and there shall be endless peace for the throne of David and his kingdom. He will establish and uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time onward and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.

"Today’s Collect, preparing us for Pentecost, reminds us that the Trinity does the ultimate linger with the descent of the Holy Spirit." —Liz Cooke, Graduating Senior, preacher at all three services on Senior Sunday

O God, the King of glory, you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph to your kingdom in heaven: Do not leave us comfortless, but send us your Holy Spirit to strengthen us, and exalt us to that place where our Savior Christ has gone before; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.
Book of Common Prayer, p. 226
