We are ready to celebrate the birthday of our Savior, Jesus Christ! Please come and join us at 11:00 am each Sunday in December as we look at The Woman of Christmas.

Our 75th anniversary celebration is behind. It was a great time of fellowship and remembrance. But it is now time to turn our focus to the present and the future. As a church, we can never allow our focus to be dominated by the past.

Beginning this coming Sunday we are going to focus on God’s design and plan for His church in a series of Sunday School lessons and sermons titled "The Church on Purpose.” We do want to be purposeful, both in our knowledge about what the Bible says about the church as well as in how we carry out the work of the church.

I trust your vision is that Wilkinson Church has many more anniversary Sundays in her future. For this to be so, though, will require a deeper commitment on the part of all. One way to demonstrate this commitment is your personal involvement in being trained and equipped for the task ahead. This is the goal of these lessons and sermons during September and October. I want to encourage you to make attendance and involvement a priority in your life.

IMPORTANT MEETING: At Sunday School time tomorrow (August 6, 10:00 AM) we will be having an important planning meeting for our 75th anniversary homecoming/revival (August 20-23). We are expecting a great day on anniversary Sunday, as well as a great revival, but much help is needed to cover all the tasks that need to be filled. Please make plans to be part of this meeting and be ready to volunteer. As the old saying goes, "Many hands make light work."

Pre-session concert each evening beginning at 6:50.

We are just a little over one month away from our 75th homecoming and revival at Wilkinson. Get the word out and make your plans now to be part of this great day. I have already heard from five of our former ministers, either the minister himself or his family if he has passed away, who plan to be with us on this special anniversary, not including those who will be speaking the different nights of the revival. Should be a great time of remembrance and celebration.
