Greetings!
PANOLA
UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
Panola United Methodist Church is hosting its Fifty-fifth Annual
Homecoming and the 192nd anniversary of its founding. All joined by love
and family to this historic church are cordially invited to worship with us on
October 12, 2025. Fellowship begins at 10:00 AM and worship service at 11:00.
Bobby Boothe, a United Methodist Lay Speaker for 30 years, will give the message on this special day. He and his wife Joan have served as directors
of lay servant ministry for the Southwest District for 16 years until their
recent retirement. He currently serves of pastor of Elmore Centers UMC
where he has been for four years and recently served as pastor at Carrollton
UMC for 4 years. Special music will be provided by the University of West
Alabama graduate student Armand Barnard of Cape Winelands, South
Africa, where he is a well-known singer.
Donations made at Homecoming will go to the Preservation Fund or to the
Pleasant Grove Cemetery Fund. Please mark your donations for one of these
funds. If you are unable to attend but wish to donate, please mail to the
address above.
Homecoming would not be complete without food. You are invited to Fair
Oaks, home of Phyllis and Jeff McClure, following church service. Bring
covered dishes to share, and enjoy the fellowship of family with old and new friends. Our church will furnish bread, tea, paper goods, and silverware.
Come; enjoy Homecoming 2025 with us. We look forward to seeing you on October 12, 2025.
Yours in Christ,
Panola United Methodist Church
