So much!! First of all… Gratitude!! Wonderful morning! New plants to water…inside & out! My yard was mowed & trimmed as a surprise yesterday while I went to the grocery! What a kind, generous, understanding sweet neighbor. After doing all that, she came back with her own sweet pickles, pickled beets, fresh asparagus, home made strawberry jam. Too kind & caring to ever forget!! Oh, also she brought a beautiful big bouquet of lilacs!!! The past couple of weeks have been a bit challenging for the old widow in the gray house…apparently, widowhood has many stages…that Frank Pierce was one good man and is missed a lot! Sunday became special as there were messages and sweetness from my children. Can’t say how wonderful that was! I’m reorganizing my poor over flowing closets & getting things ready for summer. Seems that with each season change there is a new “list” of things that make my loneliness more pronounced…see many things that the two of us would enjoy together, work on together share with each other. I do talk to the dogs about a lot! Ginger now gets herself into Frank’s recliner…seems like she knows it was Frank’s. Quinn follows me everywhere! He is sweet & funny & “talks to keep the Milk Bones heading his way. This is my first spring here & I can’t say enough about how pretty it is here! The little woods behind our house is green & inviting! The farms around this place are becoming active & even that seems like a blessing to watch.Love being able to watch life through my big front window…because the house is on a little hill, I have privacy but a good wide view. There are many big trees that frame my location & they are gorgeous now. Guess I am a country “girl”! Had a call from Frank’s old friend Jerry Heckelman & it seems we are going to have lunch together with his buddy John, Frank’s cousin Connie this Thursday.,That will be fun. Happy John & Connie can come & see my house in its current configuration…John was here when it was awful!! Guess I’d better get busy & finish my current projects so it will lol good by Thursday. Again, I am grateful to be remembered and to feel connected to my family and welcomed and supported in many ways by my incredible good neighbors! God is Good…All the Time!
