This page will serve as a Parent Organization for the “God's Grease Monkeys” group(s) and page, with the belief that God will bless our offering and grow this group by “Multiply” our talents into more chapters in other campus locations and cities. w this group by “Multiplying” our talents into more chapters in other campus locations and cities. In the event that any group may desire a different name or information sharing is best shared on one location, this will serve as a central hub to help in all facets available to help leaders and teachers spread Christ's Love and strengthen both our Church and the community by showing people in need that “They Matter to God Because They Matter to Us”. We revolve around four groups of people:
1. Those with vehicle troubles in need of competent help.
2. Competent wrench turners with a heart for God and a desire to give as an offering their time and talents along with the desire and willingness to teach the next generation of helping hands. A generous spirit with a heart to help those in need and a cheerful attitude to make the projects fun.
3. People who have no background in mechanics and would just like to learn or those who feel helpless without the knowledge to do basic repairs on their own vehicles.
4. People who have none of the above but would get a blessing from the donation of all, part, some or even a single part that will go into fixing someones vehicle in need. Our model will include the following:
1. A group page where people with needs can submit their requests for the leaders to consider who or how many people they might help at an upcoming meeting.
2. A discussion forum about upcoming projects and time scheduling.
3. Attendance planning and logistical preparation.
4. Division of responsibilities and a teaching plan if students are involved.
5. A 5 minute devotional and prayer but the goal of this group is fun and bonding so as much hands on time as possible.
6. A review at each meeting of our current needs board and plan to tackle. The group will concentrate on the following projects.
1. As many as possible, small needs to affect the most people possible with small jobs and education simultaneously. For example, oil changes, break jobs, tire rotation and changing, belt, fuel, air filter and PCV valve replacement.
2. Then move on to larger jobs like starters, alternators and break master cylinder, and censor, valve cover gaskets and watter pumps replacement along with paint and body work to include dent removal, body filling, welding, fiberglass, and priming and painting.
3. Finally we would like to take on more serious projects like head gaskets, bottom end work (rod and main bearing replacement) as well as front and rear oil seals, CV axles and bearings. Transmission and motor swaps will also fall under this category.
4. Addi tonally we are occasionally given donor vehicles that the group could get running and give as a gift to a family with no transportation. Our priorities will always be in this order:
1. Glorify God and Show Christ's love to those in need.
2. Help as may as possible with small projects going simultaneously with bigger project being handled buy the more experienced. Once a teenager understands how to do breaks they can teach others and be supervised my someone actually working o a bigger project.
3. Keeping it fun and continuing to grow in knowledge by bringing in more experts to help teach, then have “each one teach one”.
