When I compare my negative thoughts to God’s Word, the differences amaze me:

My thoughts: I want to give up.
God’s Word: Be committed (Philippians 4:13, Galatians 6:9).

My thoughts: I’ll feel lost.
God’s Word: He watches my paths and establishes my ways (Proverbs 5:21, 4:26).

My thoughts: No one loves me.
God’s Word: He loves me more than life (John 3:16).

A friend of mine, Semra, and her daughter, Lily, were airlifted to Augusta, GA tonight. Lily's shirt caught on fire when she got too close to the stove. Semra had to rip it off of her. Lily has 2nd and 3rd degree burns to her chest and arms and Semra to her fingers and hands. Lily will have her first surgery tomorrow as they graft cadaver skin on. Please be in prayer for this family. The husband is still here with their other two children. Thank you for lifting this family up!

A few prayer requests:
Deniece just posted that her father was admitted to the hospital today. They have given him one unit of blood and one more on the way.
Chris' mom, Thea, fell at school on Monday and cracked her humerus in several places where it connects to the shoulder joint. She saw a specialist in Pensacola on Friday. They are still trying to figure out if she needs surgery or not. She'll have to go back next week for the final decision.
Thank you for your faithfulness in praying!

Leading a Child to Christ Training Class this Sunday at 5pm in E 157.

Tammy is encouraging all VBS volunteers, Sunday School teachers and parents to attend this class.

As parents and teachers learning how to help a child on his spiritual journey in life is the most important skill you can develop. This skill includes knowing how and when to talk with a child about becoming a Christian, and knowing the verses to use as you explain what the Bible teaches about becoming Christians Learning the simple ABC's of becoming a Christian as well as the ABCs of getting prepared to talk with a child can aid you in this import task.

Thank you for your faithfulness to serve the children God has entrusted us with.
