This article is written by a seminary professor at SEBTS as he looks back on his time as a pastor. May this be an encouragement to all of the pastors in TOTBA.

Because of my love for the local church and for pastoring, I think often about that role. I reflect on joys and blessings of my fourteen years of pastoring, but I also remember mistakes I made. If I were pastoring again, I would do these things more often.

Exciting things are happening at Panfork Baptist Camp! We are thankful for the Texas Baptist Camp Builders and their help around camp. We are also thankful that the Lord has sent some rain!

We had a fantastic evening together last night.
Thank you again, First Baptist Church Dumas for hosting us. Thank you also to Josh Light from FBC Panhandle for bringing the Word.

We love getting to worship with you guys and are thankful for the community we have!

What a day for TOTBA! Among the many exciting things happening in our association we unanimously voted to approve First Baptist Church Dumas and Baptist Church Panhandle as our newest members.

We thank God for the fellowship we share among our TOTBA churches and will link arms with these two incoming churches to do the work of ministry in our region for the glory of Jesus Christ.

We have two events coming up later this week that you don’t want to miss!

Thursday is our Mid-Year Meeting at 10am in Pampa. Then, on Sunday night, we have our Worship Service at FBC Dumas. Josh Light will be preaching and it will be a good evening of fellowship and worship. We hope to see you there!

Pastors! The West Texas Minister’s Retreat is coming up May 4–5! If you’re a pastor in our area, this is a great opportunity to connect, rest, and be encouraged.

We had a great three days with Michael Byrd and Miles Meadows. Nearly 80 men in three towns showed up to engage with Michael and Miles to learn about raising up men in ministry.

Great things are happening at TOTBA and we are excited for how the Lord will use what they have taught us so we can raise up more leaders in ministry!

Pray for Michael and Miles as they return home to St. Louis today to continue to serve in their local church and Baptist association.
