National day of prayer is Thursday, May 7th. This year's theme is to "Glorify God Among the Nations"
King David declared in 1 Chronicles 16:24 “Declare HIS glory among the nations, HIS marvelous works among all the peoples!”
As the church, we know that prayer is not something that happens once a year, or even meant for a scheduled time only, but it IS instead the lifeline we have between the CREATOR and HIS creation, a privilege for all who choose JESUS to be their LORD and SAVIOR, and an absolute necessity to live in the full will of GOD! It is not only where we find comfort in this broken world, but where we find the power to overcome it!
2 Chronicles 7:14 shows what our Father truly wants for our country...
"if MY people who are called by MY NAME humble themselves and pray and seek MY face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
America has turned away from GOD for far too long. The words that were breathed into scripture are more than just words...they are promise after promise to those who choose HIM.
Make time today, tomorrow, Thursday for NDP, and every day after that to seek after the only ONE who truly desires the absolute best for all those who turn to HIM! Place your faith where it belongs and hold onto the HOPE that was put into this very world through the blood that was sacrificed and shed for our very souls. Glorify the ONE who chose you.
HIS GLORY IS OUR GOOD!
