Continuing with John 1:29 About “The Lamb of God.” Everything in the Bible is about “the Lamb of God” especially where it says there how He “takes away the sins of the world.” This description of Jesus is also an Old Testament prophesy coming to pass when John the Baptist said “behold the Lamb of God,” answering Issac’s words from Genesis when he asked his dad Abraham “where is the lamb?”
Hebrews 10:4 (you can look it up) tells us, animals can never take away our sins, but the Lamb of God can! As John, the Baptist said, “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.” The whole world, past, present, and future! All paid. Some might say, already paid? Then I’m not going to do anything! Yeah, you got it. Actually there is one thing you are to do, and that is believe. When Jesus said (look up John 19:30) it is finished, that should have been good enough. So, why do religions say you have to do something? It’s probably because they don’t read the Bible! So, now you know, and you can receive it! Blessings

John 1:18 “No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father he hath declared him.”
The Apostle Philip said, (see the 14th chapter of John) “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” After 3 ½ years of walking with Jesus night and day, after seeing Jesus raising people from the dead, healing the sick and much more, Philip as well as some or most of the Apostles were still questioning who Jesus was!
Not unlike today, some have said to me, God doesn’t perform miracles like He used to! Really? Since becoming a Christian I’ve seen people healed of Aids, cancer and much more. But, as I have said before, miracles don’t produce faith, and faith is what God wants from us! All of us. Of course, God will cure anyone at anytime because of His Grace! Faith is knowing God is in control no matter what happens. Trusting Him to make all things, yes, all things right no matter how it looks to us.
But to answer Philip’s request, Jesus said something that should be the answer to everyone, Jesus said, see verses 9 & 10 of John chapter 14, “Don’t you know me, Philip after you have been with me along time?” How many of those in churches today would Jesus say the same thing?
The word (declared) means to expound. Jesus expounded on the Father because Jesus has seen the Father and Philip and the other Apostles expound on Jesus because they had seen Jesus. Today, we might not see Jesus face to face like the Apostles did, but we still see Him in action through His body, the Christian! Where healing is, where freedom, true freedom is, where there is liberty is, then you see Jesus in action. When missionaries go right into the face of danger, Jesus is there. In other words, you can see Jesus through His body of believers, as Philip saw the Father through the Son. Blessings

John 1:15-16. We seem to be moving through this gospel at turtle speed. But this is the way I study the Bible. One verse at a time. Is it the right way? I know it works for me. In the Book of Isaiah, it says, “precept upon precept, line upon line, a little here and a little there.

Nobody can learn any book by reading only a few pages, so why do preachers, priests, pastors, etc, teach the Bible this way and expect their congregations learn the Bible? Maybe they don’t intend the people to learn the Holy Word of God. In some ways, this is probably the way they were taught and perhaps why we are in a Word Famine in our churches!

Back to our text, John 1:15-16. John the Baptist was a cousin of Jesus. The Gospel of Luke in the first chapter tells the story. John was about six months older. That is, in human terms but not in eternity terms. As it says in Hebrews 1:6 that Jesus is the “first begotten or born into the world.” Some cults will use this verse to say Jesus is not eternity, that He was created. But this “first begotten” here, does not speak of only first begotten born but also precedence. More on this subject at another time! So, John was older, but Jesus was and is before John, in fact before everyone.

Verse 16, it talks about our Lord’s grace that He has towards us. As I have said before, it is what separates our God from all others. His grace, God’s grace. The Bible says grace is the unmerited favor of God. It’s something we don’t earn. We can never do enough to receive God’s grace. It already there whether saint or sinner! Romans 5:20 says “where sin abounds, grace abounds more! Even the greatest of sins cannot exhaust the grace of God. Now, He probably won’t like our choices we make, but His grace is still there waiting for us to say (Sorry!) A simple word that’s sometimes hard to say! More later

Getting back to the Gospel of John, we’ll look at the 14th verse of the 1st chapter which says, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory as of the only begotten of the Father full of grace and truth.” The word, and only one word! That’s all that’s needed because of the One who spoke it! Some religions teach God had other sons, when only one was needed. The question is, if God had ten sons, would that satisfy us? That one Son was always with the Father except when He came to this world to dwell among us. But even then, the Son was always in contact with the Father except when our sins were poured out on Him and the Father couldn’t look upon Him! We’ll get into this more at another time.
The glory that it talks about here “we beheld his glory” is the same glory that is mentioned in Exodus 40:34. There it talks about the Glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle, or the Chabod or Kabowd. In our text we see that same glory again. This is another area where Jehovah Witness’ have missed. (More on this another time)
The Chabod or Kabowd is the Holy of Holies, a place that only the high priests could go into in the Old Testament days. Now that Jesus came and paid the penalty for our sins, we all can go in anytime and any day.
All this with a perfect blend of “grace and truth.” As I have mentioned before, Grace is what separates our God from others. And Truth? In John 18:37, Pontius Pilate asked Jesus “What is truth?” When truth was looking him right in the eye! And Pilate didn’t recognize it. Thus, we have the True Word of God! Or the Living Word of God in all God’s glory! Tried and True! More later

According to Hospice and Members of Clergy, those who have serviced those that are with those who are facing death. They have comprised the top three questions that have been asked. They are the following;

1) What’s going to happen to me after I die?
2) Is there really a God?
3) Am I going to Heaven?

With all the churches and places of worship there are, if these are the top Three Questions, then there is something wrong with either the message or those receiving the message! Or perhaps those that are not receiving the message at all! When people believe what's being posted here is a personal thing that shouldn’t be posted, this could be among the reasons these are the top three questions!

Anyone who has an ear let them hear! (see Matthew 11:15, and 13:9 and Rev. 2:7) Many times the devil will keep messages like this from getting to us! Ourselves getting in the way could be the other. But if someone like me doesn’t keep up these types of posts, others will come. Isaiah 55:11 “the word never comes back void.” The Bible answers these three questions and many, many more!

Finishing 2 kings 7:3-15
Why were the 12 Disciples that were chosen selected to follow Jesus? Why didn’t God select those who came out of the University or perhaps some that were already ordained from some religious school there? Our text here may answer that for us! Especially verses 11-15.
It seems to me when God calls someone to go in to the enemies territory, many times He’ll choose those that have little to lose! Those that have already been through the trials of life. In verse 3 you see the lepers or the outcasts of society just going into the enemies camp and take the spoil. But in verses 11-15, the king had to end up forming a committee before they could go into the enemies territory and take the spoil. Meanwhile, verse 3 shows the lepers or the outcasts of the community are already enjoying the spoil. One group had a lot to lose while the other had nothing to lose. The king was sleeping! And there was a famine there; people were sleeping including the king! But the lepers or if you would sinners, or outcasts were eating and were enjoying the provisions.
The same happens today in our world, we marvel at peoples credentials, saying they’re ordained! They have their doctorates, PhDs! Meanwhile, those without the credentials are heading to the street corners, relating to those already down there, taking the spoil from our enemy! The lost people that are already there.
It’s true; people don’t care about how much you know until they know how much you care! Did I say there’s something wrong with degrees and education? Not at all! I’d rather someone with a doctor title in their name remove something from my body rather someone who doesn’t! More later,

Ok, I’m going to include verse 10 also. I was going to conclude the study of 2 Kings 7:3-9 and end at verse 9! But verse 10 was calling out to me! So, I answered. And after reading and thinking about how it fits our study, there’s no way I can leave this one out! I may find more too! But one verse at a time! (You can and should read verse 10 yourselves. Have you been following along with me using the Bible? Do you have a Bible yet? Soon I’m to get Bibles to those that don’t have them. That will be when I get our blog going. But one step forward and two steps back!)
Looking at verse 10, we see the four lepers going to the city and having a dialogue with the cities gatekeepers; you might be thinking, so what! So what? The only ones that had anything to do with lepers especially back in those days were other lepers! So, why were these gatekeepers having a conversation with these lepers, because when you’re hungry and in need of help with your misery, anything but what you’re presently doing may help! These lepers brought this city some Good News! These lepers (or sinners) had a way to find the provisions this city desperately needed. The city was going to survive! The lepers were successful in bringing the Good News to that city!
In our culture here in America, material things are very important; it’s the measure many church-goers use to see how we're doing! But what if we were to take some of these same church-goers from this country and planted them in a village in the middle of nowhere and suddenly, that measuring device changes. The words you will be hearing are, you’re going to live! But the words of Apostle Peter from Acts 3:6 are also heard, “silver and gold have I none,” would your Good News suddenly be different? God knows our needs long before we need them. And the best news anyone should receive is “you are set free”! Some will ask, set free from what? Set free from sin, set free from the fear of death, knowing when you leave this world you’ll be going to a better place, that you won’t be separated from God when you receive your eternal destination.
So, what does Good News mean to you? Blessings

2 Kings 7:9 (You can read it yourselves) Here we come to the reason for these posts! Look at the words “Good News.” As mentioned before in my posts, we are in need of Good News! We cannot rely on CNN or Fox News to bring the type of Good News that I’m talking about. It’s the Good News like you read in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world…” (you can read the rest yourself) Some might say, “but I’m a mess!” What mother or dad could throw out a baby because they’re messy? Yeah, well that’s how My Love feels about you!
Now, you have been fed the Good News here over and over, what you do with it, is between you and God. You can take that Good News and share it with others, or you can forget about it! But I have to post it! You see, I’ve been in that burning building you’re trying to enter! It’s not safe in there. I have Good News! But if you want to enter anyway???
I believe God is about to prepare the street corners of America for those He is calling to take the spoil just like the four lepers did at their enemies camp. If it’s not ready for us now, it will be soon, very soon. I believe many are prepared to go in to bring the Good News! Yes, into a burning building if necessary! People are tired of the empty promises of our enemy. (The Devil)
Think about it, if God sent His Holy Angels into the enemies camp to prepare the way for four lepers, as in the story, don’t you think He can do it again? The devil is not God’s counterpart! God is the creator! And the devil is part of the creation! God rules!
Now we could go in and die there, but if we sit back and do nothing, we may still die! Just like it says in 2 Kings 7:3-9. But, as for me, I want to be part of and taking the Good News to the streets. Just like the Bible says, “fix your eyes on Jesus” Blessings
