We are a family oriented church that wants to help families grow in their relationship with God. We are a "light house" on a hill shining forth the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. Another ministry of Mission Hill Baptist Church is our Christian School. Mission Hill Christian Academy uses a Bible based curriculum from Accelerated Christian Education (ACE). If you’re looking for restoration , come on in.
If life has brought you to your knees, come on in.
If you are wanting to praise God for all he has done, come on in.

In my Bible Psalm 78 has the title "God Loves His People" See how patiently He shows it!

Psalm 78:4 KJV
[4] We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come, The praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.
Why do this? So they can have HOPE!

Psalm 78:7 KJV
[7] That they might set their hope in God, And not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments.
We need to consistently praise Him to help ourselves and them to be stedfast and not stubborn (the natural man kind of hard-headedness. My dad always said, "Stubbornness can be good if it's pointed in the right direction." The Bible calls it perseverance or stedfastness.😀)

Verse 12 reminds us that God does MARVELOUS things for us. Don't forget them! He does the impossible and I so quickly get bent of of shape when my wants don't fall into place.

Verse 19 - don't speak against God. It is wrong, and little ears are listening and learning.

[35] And they remembered that God was their rock, And the high God their redeemer.

[38] But he, being full of compassion, Forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: Yea, many a time turned he his anger away, And did not stir up all his wrath.
We can limit God's blessings on us. He has them ready and waiting.

[41] Yea, they turned back and tempted God, And limited the Holy One of Israel.

Then in the end of the chapter God gives Israel a good leader. He was still a fallible human, but he pursued the Lord with all his heart while he was young. Be that David who rehearsed the power and goodness of the Lord to all the ears around you. Feed them God's praises.

“Faithful Freedom”

1. Honored Heroes
We thank God for the brave men and women who gave their lives so others could live in freedom. Their sacrifice reminds us of Christ’s greater sacrifice for our souls.

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” — John 15:13 KJV

2. Heavenly Hope
As Bible believers, we know the greatest liberty is found in Jesus Christ. Earthly freedom is precious, but eternal freedom through salvation is priceless.

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” — John 8:36 KJV

This Memorial Day, let us remember the fallen, honor the faithful, and thank the Lord for both national freedom and spiritual freedom through Christ alone.

"God-fidence: Knowing that I Can't, but God Can."

I'm truly thankful for the grace of God, and that His strength is made perfect in our weakness.
A little while back I was really struggling with life, and had basically given up on everything, but God's word says in Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Sometimes we lose sight of what the Lord wants to do in our lives, and we lose the spiritual confidence needed to continue to move forward with Him. That’s what happened to me I took my eyes off Jesus and let the storms of life have their way moving me deeper into depression, anxiety, and farther away from the Lord, but God has promised that He will never leave or forsake us, Hebrews 13:5 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
One day while I was in treatment for the anxiety and depression, God reminded me that He had never went anywhere. He was right there the whole time. He reminded me with something as simple as a shirt. My wife sent me a t-shirt that had the saying that I mentioned earlier. God-fidence is knowing that I can't, but God can.
We can be confident that God is who he says He is and that He is going to do exactly what He says He will do. Its been tried and proven over and over again.
Let me encourage you today that when the storm winds start to blow, and you feel like giving in, have confidence that God is right there with you.
