Jesus is still writing our story.

Peter’s story didn’t end when he denied Jesus three times. Jesus met him with grace, restoration, and purpose and continued molding him into who he was called to be.

Just like an artist keeps working on a picture, God is still working on us — shaping us, changing us, and making us more like Him every single day.

So thankful for these sweet altar moments tonight. 🥹

Sunday was such a special day in Forward Kids! There was an excitement in the room, the house of God was full, and we loved getting to welcome some of our Beeginners who moved up into Forward Kids as they head into kindergarten!

We are so excited to see what God has in store for them, and are incredibly grateful for Mrs. Rhonda and her team who have loved them well and laid such a strong foundation for us to continue building on.

We are so thankful for what God is doing in Forward Kids and so excited for everything still to come!

Join us TOMORROW FOR ONE SERVICE as we come together to celebrate Pastor Lloyd & Katie, and their family and honor the incredible five years they’ve poured into Forward Community Church.

Then stick around after service for a **potluck** as we love on their family, share some memories, and celebrate all God has done through their time with us. 🫶

We’d love to pack the house for their last Sunday and send them off surrounded by the church family they’ve loved so well!

As our students head back to school today, Forward Kids is praying over each one of them! We’re praying for courage, kindness, wisdom, great friendships, and a year filled with growth.

Parents, grandparents, and church family—save this graphic and join us in covering our kids in prayer throughout the school year.

As we close the book on My Story VBS, our hearts are full.

This week wasn’t ultimately about the decorations, the games, the crafts, or even the alien slime. It was about watching God write stories.

This week, 🔟 children said YES to Jesus!!

We celebrated together as our offering challenge was met and our pastors got slimed. It was loud, messy, and so much fun—but the greatest celebration wasn’t the slime. It was heaven rejoicing as children surrendered their hearts to Christ.

What a privilege it has been to spend this week telling kids that they were made on purpose, that God isn’t finished with their story, that they have a place with Jesus, and that they are deeply known and loved by Him.

To every volunteer, every family, and every child who walked through our doors—thank you for being part of what God did this week. We know the stories that began at My Story VBS won’t end here, because the Author is still writing.

Last night, everything changed for Zacchaeus.

He found more than a better view from a tree—he found his place in Jesus.

Night 3 of My Story VBS reminded our kids that no matter our past, what others think of us, or where we feel like we fit, Jesus sees us, calls us by name, and gives us a place to belong.

Because when Jesus becomes part of our story, we are never left on the outside. 💛
