Sin isn't harmless.
As long as you're connected to it, it pulls you, controls you, and takes you somewhere you don't want to go.
Jesus came to do what we couldn't do for ourselves.
He breaks sin’s power. He destroys its yoke. He sets captives free.
A believer may still have to fight sin, but sin no longer has the right to rule.
So the question remains:
How can we be hooked to the truth and still live a lie?
“Everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin.”

We spend so much time chasing what looks like success.
The car. The house. The degree. The relationship. The image.
But you can have all of that and still not have peace.
Peace isn't found in what you drive, what you own,
who knows your name, or what people think of you.
True peace is found in God.
“You will keep the mind that is dependent on You in perfect peace, for it is trusting in You.”

If we say we abide in Christ, our lives should show it
in what we say, in what we post, and in what we claim to believe.
Our walk should match our confession.
Christians may still struggle, but we shouldn't be comfortable
living contrary to the One we say we follow.
“The one who says he remains in Him should walk just as He walked.”

If Christ had not died, there would be no atonement for sin.
If Christ had not risen, there would be no resurrection hope.
But thanks be to God:
Jesus died. Jesus rose. Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father.
Jesus intercedes for His people, and He has given believers the promised Holy Spirit.
Our hope is not built on wishful thinking.
Our hope is built on the finished work and living reign of Jesus Christ.
“But as it is, Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.”
1 Corinthians 15:20
“Christ Jesus is the One who died, but even more, has been raised; He also is at the right hand of God and intercedes for us.”
