Study your Bible.
Don't just hear a verse and accept every conclusion someone builds from it.
Sound teaching handles the Word rightly.
It stays in context. It agrees with the whole counsel of Scripture.
It doesn't take one line and build a whole doctrine around it.
The Bible isn't disconnected.
The Old Testament and New Testament work together and point us to God’s truth.
So test what you hear. Search the Scriptures.
And when God’s Word is rightly taught, receive it and obey it.
“Be diligent to present yourself to God as one approved… correctly teaching the word of truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15
“They examined the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.”
Acts 17:11

A pastor isn't called to perform for sheep. He's called to shepherd them.
It is not about flash, titles, or who can sing, tune it up, or look the part.
God’s people need shepherds with God’s heart.
Character matters. Doctrine matters. Care matters. Faithfulness matters.
“I will give you shepherds who are loyal to Me, and they will shepherd you with knowledge and skill.”
Jeremiah 3:15
“Shepherd God’s flock among you…”
1 Peter 5:2

Sometimes the opportunity to do the right thing is right in front of us.
Not later. Not someday. Not after we finish making our own plans. Right now.
We can plan all we want, but our plans need to line up with God’s will.
When God gives us the opportunity to obey, serve, forgive, help, or do what is right, we should not waste it.
“Many plans are in a person’s heart, but the Lord’s decree will prevail.”
Proverbs 19:21
“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us work for the good of all…”
Galatians 6:10

The Samaritan saw a man who probably would not have associated with him under normal circumstances.
Different background. Different people. Different social standing. Real tension between them.
But compassion didn't stop to ask, “Is he one of mine?”
Compassion saw the wound. Compassion saw the need. Compassion moved with mercy.
That is what Jesus pointed to when He said, “Go and do likewise.”
“But a Samaritan on his journey came up to him, and when he saw the man, he had compassion.”
Luke 10:33
“Which of these three do you think proved to be a neighbor?”
Luke 10:36

If Christ lives in us, it should show in how we live.
Not just in what we say.
Not just in where we go on Sunday.
Not just in what we claim to believe.
Our faith should affect our behavior.
Sometimes people only ask, “Can I get away with this?”
But integrity asks, “Is this right before God?”
Do the right thing.
Move with integrity.
“Whoever lives with integrity walks securely, but whoever perverts his ways will be found out.”
Proverbs 10:9
