CTC is thankful for more invitations to help prevent su***de in the Mat Su. CTC needs your help! Friday, Oct. 2 10am - 3pm we need 1) set-up volunteers {must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.} 2) First Responders, business owners and community leaders to stand with students at the Committed to Life school assembly and declare the Committed to Life Vow to show students the Mat Su cares! 3) Donations of all kinds: financial and in-kind good/services. www.carrythecure.org

Today is the Rise Above It Anniversary! On Aug. 29, 2020, Twelve of us summited South Yuyanq' Ch'ex during Covid. An additional support team hiked to the base to see us off. It inspired my book, Rise Above It and the name change of Su***de Peaks to Yuyanq' Ch'ex (Heaven's Breath).

In addition, on Aug. 29, 2022, a friend, Landis Erwin, and I summited North Yuyanq' Ch'ex , during an intense battle to change the name. Upon reaching the summit of N. Yuyanq’ Ch’ex the Lord said, "It is finished!" On Oct. 13, 2022, the US Board of Geographic Names accepted my proposal changing North and South Su***de Peaks to North and South Yuyanq' Ch'ex. Yuyanq’ Ch’ex is the Dena’ina name for Heaven’s Breath. These mountains forever honor Creator and His children, and His breath is blowing across Alaska.

There may be “nay sayers” who don’t think you could climb your mountain, rise above it, or change; but these mountains stand and testify to the truth. You can change! WE can change! Our destiny is not determined by man’s opinion but by the Lord of all creation. When He made us, He said, “It is good!” So, we will not let the rocks cry out in our place. The blood of Jesus has made the way to remove the mountains of shame, depression, su***de and mislabeling. Now, thanks to Jesus, the breath of heaven blows across this land bringing life to the dry bones. Let’s rise up in the strength of the Lord and share HOPE north, south, east and west of this great land. Now is the time of God’s favor!
