Church of the Covenant Church of the Covenant is an American Baptist Church, part of the Evergreen Association.

We are also a member of the Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptist and the Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America.

It sure felt good to participate in the five minutes of chanting "Peace Love Unity Respect" this morning. The thoughts of those words have been playing in the back of my mind all day, and made for a very pleasant day. I hope you'll consider joining us for some fellowship and coffee on Sunday morning. We gather between 9:30-10:30 am, and are generally finished by noon. We've usually got a nice pot luck selection of sweet and savory food, and lively discussion about our lives and how we can help and support each other. Who knew that peace, love, unity, and respect could be this much fun? It's like a battery charger for your soul to help you get through the week.

Reminder, it’s the time change so fall back for Sunday.
This Sunday, at the Meeting House (Church of the Covenant, 415 S. Bailey, Palmer) we will be celebrating All Saints Day through exploring those who helped us on our Faith Journeys who are no longer with us. It is also communion Sunday at the Church of the Covenant. We have no barriers. Everyone is invited to come to the table of the Lord.
All are welcome.
930 to 11 is discussion. We will be starting a new book next week a few copies are at the church. Come for coffee, breakfast, and fellowship. Come early or come late. Service is at 11. Again, come earlier or come late.

Tomorrow September 21 is the international day of peace. At church of the covenant we will be reviewing our past celebrations, the current conditions of peace in the world, and we will discuss “islands of sanity”.  all are welcome to come. 930 is discussion with coffee and maybe breakfast 11 o’clock is when we will look at the international day of peace and celebrations singing our peace songs. I’m looking at the way of peace that’s at 415 S. Bailey Street, Palmer.

My brother is coming for a brief visit this next weekend. He has offered to preach and I’m going to let him. Join me and other people from the church of the covenant in Palmer at the 11 o’clock service August 24. He’s a Unitarian universalist, but we won’t hold that against him! Come early for coffee and some kind of breakfast for our discussion group st 9:30 or whenever you get there. All are welcome.

Welcome all to the first Sunday of the month which is when we have a communion service. We have no barrier and all are welcome. For Baptists, this is Freedom Sunday.  in our tradition. We review the Four Fragile Freedoms and explore our relationship to the world.

We may all be feeling grief and sadness along with tragedy of the loss of the United States as we once knew it. We will be singing protest songs and healing songs as well as songs of strength tomorrow at The Meeting House. Join us for coffee and discussion at 9:30 or whenever you get there and at 11 for our service with communion. All are welcome to The Table of the Lord.
