The mission is not conversion; we're not convinced that people can be converted to a religion with no punishment or fear to hold over people. There are people in the world who would love to know that Liberal Religion is an option available to them, though.

UU Evangelism is about conversation, not conversion; invitation, not intimidation. We just want people to learn that we're out here, building communities that try to be inclusive and encouraging.

One vital thing about liberal religion is that all of us, lay person and clergy alike, are encouraged to be honest about what we do and do not know, what we can and cannot be certain of, and none of us are forced to believe anything we find unbelievable.
