Our world continues to be hit with devastating natural disasters, the latest being the flash floods in Nepal that have already claimed more than 500 lives. Let us not be indifferent to the suffering of our brothers and sisters in far away places. We have all seen the devastation and tragic loss of life wrought by Monday’s earthquake in Colombia. Our Mission Office has put out a call to the faithful of the diocese to pray in solidarity with those brothers and sisters impacted by the quake and to contribute to relief efforts through a Catholic Relief Services fund, if you are able. “Through prayer and generosity, we can become instruments of God’s compassion and mercy,” writes Father Duong Nguyen, S.V.D., Director of Missions. https://www.crs.org/donate/colombia-earthquake?ms=agicrs0227ceq00her00
