Let us pray for all the people who have been affected by this terrible tragedy. For the people who are injured and/or fighting for their lives, for the people who were killed, and for the families who are mourning over the loss of a loved one. May God's love and mercy be with us all and let us ask him for our hearts not to fill with hate.
"No matter what the darkness, it will never overcome the light."-Cardinal DiNardo

St. Kateri Tekakwitha is the first Native American to be recognized by the Catholic Church. She was known for her love for Jesus and though it made her unpopular, she remained devoted. She died at the age of 24 in 1680.
May we follow in the footsteps of St. Kateri and always look for Jesus in everything and everywhere we go. St. Kateri pray for us!

My protection and success come from God alone. -Psalm 62:7

God calls us to be humble and to remember that all good things come from Him. We cannot take all the credit for the success in our lives. In the good, the bad, and the ugly always praise Him for God is good all the time, and all the time God is good.

Today's Gospel: Matthew 9:9-13
"Those who are well do not need a physician; I desire mercy, not sacrifice."
Jesus meets us where we are not where we or others would like us to be. He desires mercy and calls us to also be merciful. Meet others where they are at today.

In our hearts we plan our course, but the Lord determines our steps. -Prov. 16:9

No matter how we plan or hope for something, it is still God who makes the final decision as to whether or not it will happen.
