The Judgment of Solomon Exposes the Evil of Selflessness

The Dispute: Two women came before King Solomon, both living in the same house. Both had given birth, but one of the babies had died during the night. Each woman claimed the living child as her own, and accused the other of stealing her baby and leaving the dead one.
Solomon's Test: Unable to determine the truth based solely on their contradictory testimonies, King Solomon called for a sword and announced his judgment:"Cut the living child in two, and give half to one, and half to the other."
The Reactions:
The False Mother: She readily agreed, saying, "It shall be neither mine nor yours; divide it!" Her priority was winning or ensuring her rival didn't get the child.
The Real Mother: She cried out in deep distress and begged the King, "Please, my lord, give her the living baby! Do not kill him!" She was willing to give up her maternal right and endure the loss, just so her son would live.
The Verdict: Solomon immediately declared the woman who showed compassion and pleaded for the child's life to be the true mother, saying:"Give the living child to the first woman, and by no means kill him, for she is his mother."
The story serves as a profound testament to the selfless, protective, and unconditional nature of true maternal love, which would sacrifice her own desires for the well-being of the child.

The woman who lied in the attempted kidnapping/murder received a mark of separation and hatred. This mark prevents her from giving birth until she treats her neighbor as she would want to be treated.

The intention behind giving her this mark demonstrates the commitment God has made to protecting his creations from evil.

If not for this mark she would have replicated without any improvement. This would have resulted in child abuse and her eternal suffering. The mark protected her by encouraging her to reflect and learn true love.

Solomon and God worked together to prevent suffering and regret. Solomon trusted in God’s grace through his intuition. His logic is now considered common sense but it takes courage to be the first ruler to make such a bold decision.

Modern rights and laws that prevent violence are the result of God’s elect officials overcoming the agents of hatred.
