You keep waiting for the full picture before you move. The five-year plan. The guarantee. Some sign that says yes, this will work out.

But that’s not how trust works. Trust is built in the dark, one step at a time, when you can’t see past your own feet and you go anyway.

You don’t need the whole staircase. You need the next step — and the God who already knows where it leads.

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us of the cost of freedom and the power of courage, faith, and selfless love. 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, may we never forget those who made it possible.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

Do we place value on the things or plans of God, or are we only willing to give Him what is free and/or easy?

I Chronicles 21:22-24
22 David said to him, “Let me have the site of your threshing floor so I can build an altar to the Lord, that the plague on the people may be stopped. Sell it to me at the full price.”
23 Araunah said to David, “Take it! Let my lord the king do whatever pleases him. Look, I will give the oxen for the burnt offerings, the threshing sledges for the wood, and the wheat for the grain offering. I will give all this.”
24 But King David replied to Araunah, “No, I insist on paying the full price. I will not take for the Lord what is yours, or sacrifice a burnt offering that costs me nothing.”

We have become a culture of high speed, hustle, cheap, easy, and quick fixes, and we’ve brought that into the church and our walk with God. We want speed, ease, convenience, the immediate and even bite-sized experiences but the truth is we are losing the long-term fulfillment that comes with patience and effort.

Do we value Him and His ways enough to say, “You are worthy of it all!” I refuse to offer you that which costs me nothing. 🙌🏻
