Today was a day our church family will not soon forget. ✝️❤️
This morning, 10 young people stood before God and their church family to publicly profess their faith in Jesus Christ. What a privilege it has been to walk alongside them during these past four weeks as they explored the foundations of the Christian faith.
Together, we talked about the Gospel from Creation, to the Fall, to God’s plan of redemption through Jesus Christ. We learned about the Trinity, the gift of salvation, and what it means to live as a disciple of Christ each day. Most importantly, we were reminded that faith is not simply knowing about Jesus, but knowing Him personally and following Him with our lives.
As I looked at these 10 youth sitting before me today, I was reminded that some of them first ran through the doors of this church as toddlers. It is incredible to see how their faith has continued to grow over the years and how their commitment to the church and their spiritual lives is now evident as they make personal decisions to follow Jesus Christ. What a blessing it has been to witness their journey and to see the young men and women they are becoming. ❤️
My prayer for each of these confirmands is that today is not the finish line, but the beginning of a lifelong journey of walking with Christ, growing in His Word, serving others, and trusting Him through every season of life. 🌿
Over the past month, I have watched these students ask thoughtful questions, engage in meaningful conversations, serve others with joyful hearts, and grow in their understanding of who God is and what He has done for them through Jesus Christ. That has been one of the greatest blessings of all.
We are so proud of each one of you and excited to see how God will continue to work in and through your lives. 🙏✨
