“Transformation is not linear.”
We often expect growth to look clean, steady, and predictable. But real transformation rarely moves in a straight line. Sometimes it’s two steps forward and five steps back. Sometimes healing feels slow. Sometimes faith feels fragile.
In last week's message, Brian Carr shared about the work being done through Residing Hope with children who have experienced abandonment, abuse, and neglect. He reminded us that transformation takes time — and that setbacks do not erase progress.
That truth doesn’t just apply to children in recovery. It applies to all of us.
God is still at work in the messy middle.
Still healing.
Still restoring.
Still forming something new in us.
Don’t confuse a difficult season with a defeated life.
