School at 19 and when I was only 20 years old God called me to Spain! In 2007 while living in Florida I heard the word "Spain" and suddenly my heart started beating very fast! I asked God what that meant and in my prayer closet I clearly heard His voice saying that there was an urgent need to go to Spain. As soon as I heard that, I fell in love with Spain and less than a m
onth later I literally left everything I had in Florida and came to this country totally by faith. From the day I stepped in this country I could see the hand of God backing me up. Here I met my precious wife Sara and we've started a ministry together. In spite of all the challenges and difficulties we are winning souls for Christ and seeing his miracles daily. Our School
Our Vision
Our Vision is to win the Spaniards for Christ through personal and street evangelism, evangelistic campaigns, radio and media as well as discipling them through churches and Bible School. We want to raise pastors and ministers that will continue fighting for the Cause and open churches in areas without any. Our vision is to be a pioneer, modern, bold, supernatural, powerful and loving church that really affects and influences society in Spain. We want to reach all aspects and systems of the society, we want the Gospel to get where it hasn't got yet. To all classes and positions in this nation. What we are doing
1. So far we have two starting small church groups, one in the capital of Asturias, Oviedo (meeting in a hotel) and one in a small town a 40-minute drive from the capital, we just rented a place with the capacity for 90 people.
2. We also have a bible school, it's the heart of our vision, Jesus asked us to pray for labourers, so that's what we are focusing on. It's the first ministry school in the entire north of Spain and it is affecting not only the local Christians but also the nation through present and online classes. 3. We are doing street evangelism and also organizing evangelistic campaigns in different churches around the north of Spain.
-My wife is working in a secular Job while I dedicate fulltime to the ministry. Our Dream and Projects
Our main short and mid-term projects are:
1. Have our own facility or temple where we could hold our services and school of ministry. About 2500€ a month.
2. Open a radio station to evangelize. There is currently no Christian radio stations in Asturias. Its the easiest and most effective way to reach all the population. There are THOUSANDS of towns and villages in Asturias that have NEVER, ever heard the Gospel in the entire history of this state, centuries and centuries without the opportunity to know the Lord. First Step is to start a program in a secular radio station, 400€ a month. Second Step is to have our own station 24/7 preaching the Gospel. 16,000€ in equipment and another 1200€ monthly costs. (We've just signed the contract and still need 500€ a month now to maintain it.)
3. Start a television program to evangelize Spaniards. There is currently no Christian TV programs in Asturias. We figured that's the only way we can get into all people's houses and preach the Gospel in their living room! Every night in Spain most channels have fortuneteller programs. There has never been a Christian program or televison. First step is to have a program on secular TV 1000€ a month
b. Second Step is to buy a local TV station that is on sale. 100.000€ plus 4000€ a month
HOW? Keep making disciples and through financial help from individuals and organizations in USA and other Christian countries.
-Asturias has about 1 million inhabitants and only 550 Christian Spaniards. The challenge
Spain has a great religious stronghold, the Roman Catholic church controls everything concerning schools, media, politics, etc. Spaniards are very pagan and most festivals are idolatrous. The other majority of people are atheists, I've spoken even to children that would laugh if you mention that God exists. The moral values are extremely low. The evangelical church is seen as a SECT or cult and is put in the same group of Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Muslims and others. The majority (about 90%) of church members in Spain are South Americans and has little relationship with natives. The other great majority of evangelicals are Gypsies and again the Spaniards have no relationship with Gypsies. Even some of the Spaniards that go to church do not tell their families about it because they can get discriminated for going to an evangelical church so they continue following the catholic traditions like children's baptism, catholic wedding, funerals, etc. On top of that, a great number of the current evangelical churches in Spain are extremely legalist and marginalized and have given a wrong image of the church in Spain. Almost all churches in Spain meet in rented facilities that are not appropriate for services and many times the government closes them, some meet in industrial areas far from where the people live and there are only a few churches which own their own place. Almost all pastors in Spain have to work in a secular job to support their families including my wife Sara and I (I work as an English teacher), specially now that the recession has caused a lot of Christians to be unemployed. Pastors in Spain have almost no bible school or seminar education because they are just starting to appear now, which make their preaching and leadership skills very ineffective. The real challenge is reaching the native Spaniards and that's our vision. We want to give a different vision of the evangelical church through church, radio and TV, get out of the shadows and impact the society with the true power and love of Christ. It's not just helping, it's sowing
