In All You Can Eat Buffet, you might pick up some Spice tokens, little wooden chili peppers placed on certain cards. Take the card, take the token. Each one is worth 1 point at the end of the game.
But there's a limit: if you collect too many, the heat becomes unbearable, and they will all be worth zero.
Unless you grab the Milk card. One simple drink, and your spice limit goes from 5 to 8.

Botanically, it's a fruit. In the kitchen, it's a vegetable. Even the US Supreme Court had to settle the debate back in 1893.
In All You Can Eat Buffet, the game makes you decide: tomato can count as fruit OR as vegetable, never both.
Use it to round out a fruit set for big points, or push the vegetable count to grab the +10 bonus.

Four vegetable dishes on the menu of All You Can Eat Buffet: fresh cucumber salad, some steamed broccoli, grilled peppers, and roasted potatoes.
Each dish is worth between 1 and 4 points, but here's the trick: at the end of the game, whoever has collected the most vegetables takes an extra 10 points.

The fruit aisle of All You Can Eat Buffet.
Six fruits in the deck: Mango, Pomegranate, Apple, Strawberries, Pineapple, Banana. Plus a special one, the Rum Banana, which counts as a banana for your collection but also pours you a Drink token.
The trick? The more variety, the more points. Three different fruits get you 4 points. Six different fruits get you 24. The math rewards a varied plate.
Choose your harvest carefully.

🍰 Desserts from the menu 🍰
There are two types of cakes in All You Can Eat Buffet, each worth 1 point at the end of the game. One of them, the slice with a little something extra, also gives you a Drink token every time you grab it.
But the real prize is the Birthday Cake tile, a whole cake worth 8 points. It moves around the table: every time someone takes a slice, they steal the whole Birthday Cake too.
So the player who grabs the LAST slice at the end of the game walks away with the entire Birthday Cake — 8 points.
Everyone else? Everyone else? Left with crumbs.

It's always a crowd-pleaser at the buffet, hard to resist and easy to overdo.
But if you get carried away with it, the rest of the buffet will pass you by. And at the end of the game, whoever ended up with the most Fish scores none of them at all.
Pace yourself.

Some pairings are non-negotiable in the kitchen, and garlic and parsley is one of them.

In All You Can Eat Buffet, the same rule applies: Garlic alone scores -1, and Parsley alone is forgettable. But add one Parsley to your collection, and every Garlic you have flips from -1 to +2.

🍞 Today on the menu: Surprise Bread 🍞
Known in France as Pain Surprise, it is a hollowed-out loaf packed with mini sandwiches hidden inside. You don't know which fillings you're getting until you cut it open.
The game keeps the metaphor honest: when you grab a Surprise Bread, you also get an extra Meal card, face down. You won't know what's inside until the end of the game, when scores are counted.
A gamble disguised as a snack!

Six dishes, each scoring differently. Plus one secret weapon.
One of the food categories in All You Can Eat Buffet is Meat:
Sausages are the cheapest, Ribs and Coq-au-vin score better, while Roast Beef, Chicken Drumsticks, and Chicken Breast sit somewhere in between.
But there's a special card: Ketchup. It boosts your Sausages, turning the cheapest meat into your secret weapon.
And one small detail: Coq-au-vin also gives you a wine glass token. Why? Well, it's in the recipe!
