Good morning fellow Bible students and friends and welcome to our Adult Sunday School lesson prepared for September 6, 2026, by the Northlake Blvd. Church of the Nazarene in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. We are Bunny and Jim McLellan your fellow Students and guides. These lessons are prepared using the Faith Connections Sunday School materials published by The Foundry publishing dot com. The Bible readings are from the New International Version of the Bible unless otherwise noted. Our lesson for today is titled “God Raises Up a New Leader” and is a study of Joshua chapter 1 verses1 through 9.
The subtitle for today’s lesson is “God promises to go with His people when He calls them to do His work.” From this lesson we want to understand that God’s faithful presence and power enable leaders to accomplish God’s purposes.
Last Week: We learned that the key to fighting the good fight of faith, is relying on the truth of God’s Word and living a spirit filled life of holiness.
This Week: We will learn the way God clearly expressed His plans for His people and Joshua’s leadership role. In Genesis 15, God appeared to Abram and promised to give his descendants the land on which he was standing, from the “Wadi of Egypt” in the south to the Euphrates River in the north.

Good morning, friends and fellow Bible Students welcome to our Adult Sunday School lesson prepared for Sunday August 23, 2026, by the Northlake Blvd. Church of the Nazarene in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. We are Bunny and Jim McLellan your fellow Bible Students and guides. This week we will be looking at Paul’s teachings for Timothy as found in First Timothy chapter 5 verse 17through Chapter 6 verse 2a, in our lesson titled” Strengthening the Church Fellowship.”
The subtitle for today’s lesson is “We are called to show honor and respect to everyone within the church.” From this lesson we want to discover ways to build a strong faith community within the church. Last Week we discovered the importance of grounding ourselves in God’s Word and being a godly example to others, inside and outside of the Church family.
This Week: We will discover how interactions with fellow believers should be characterized by love and respect. Leadership is essential for the body of Christ. Long before leaders watched over the church, God watched over His people as a Shepherd whose power was directed to the flock’s flourishing.

Good morning and welcome fellow Bible Students to our Adult Sunday School lesson for Sunday August 16, 2026, prepared by the Northlake Blvd. Church of the Nazarene in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. We are Bunny and Jim McLellan your fellow Bible Students and guides. Our lesson for today is titled” Good Teaching” and our Scripture is First Timothy chapter 4 verses1 through16.
The very long subtitle for today’s lesson is “Grounding ourselves in the Word of God and relying on the Holy Spirit’s guidance enable us to avoid false teaching.” From this lesson we want to commit to God’s Word and to being Christlike examples in our speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity. Last Week We examined the way church leaders should exhibit godly character, self-control, and a knowledge of and a commitment to faith in Jesus.
This WeekWe will examine the way we can recognize teaching which conflicts with Scripture and undermines the message of the gospel.
