The fear of what others think can easily keep us from doing what is right. Even in the first century, many believed in Jesus but stayed silent to protect their social standing. When we value the approval of our peers more than the approval of our Creator, we miss out on the transformative power of genuine, obedient faith. We spend so much time trying to preserve our comfort that we often forget what we are truly living for. Jesus taught a paradox that turns the world's wisdom upside down. To genuinely find life, we must be willing to let go of our selfish desires and surrender entirely to God's will. True purpose is found in total sacrifice to the Lord.
