Palestine Mission

Palestine Mission is a non-denominational, Christian based organization. Palestine Mission was established to help meet the needs of the homeless population of Palestine and the surrounding area by partnering with local Churches and Community Organizations. Our mission is to help restore the dignity of those we serve by ministering the Word of God, and providing for basic needs

such as showers, clean cloths, and assistance in job searches as well as transportation to and from work locations. Although we currently do not have shelter capabilities, it is our vision to see temporary housing established to provide a safe place for the homeless as we minister to their needs so that we may reintegrate them back into society. In partnership with Trinity Church Palestine and First Presbyterian Church in Palestine, and Palestine Mission, Church On the Avenue (COA) is set to go. Last week we were able to open up a corporate nonprofit bank account. This week a much-needed computer was donated. Today the ministry was blessed by the Trinity Tribe with a brand new 65" Flat Screen TV to support the Chosen Bible Study we can also project the songs for Sunday Services.
Then saith he to his servants, the wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
I will need help gathering!

In Partnership with the Harvest House if all goes well we will start Construction on the new dorms at the Harvest House next week! It is not to late to jump on board with a donation to help single males to get clean, off the street and into the hands of God. If all goes well couples and family housing will be next.

Palestine Mission is now officially partnered with Harvest Now Ministries and the Harvest House itself. I am excited to be a part of Harvest Now Ministries as we now have an avenue to help those on the street a chance to restore their lives through the transforming power of Jesus. We accept males 18 and older who are willing to submit to a Christian based rehabilitation program designed to see salvation, restoration and maturity in love of Jesus.

Palestine Mission is now partnering with Harvest House Ministries in Rusk Texas. If you know a male 18 or older that would submit to a Christian based program and a chance to rebuild their lives Harvest House is the place.

Palestine Mission is in major transition, we will be taking the next year to reevaluate the way forward. Fortunately Hope Station is moving and breaking ground and our prayer is they will take over the chronic homeless issues in Palestine.

Narrow Path Ministries overseen by Brenda Jorgensen is one of the ministires that is partenered working with Palestion Mission. This is a post Brenda made the other day just to help people in awareness of the things that go on behind the scenes.

Including my family of 3, and JJ, there are 11 people staying at our 2 bedroom home. Found out today there is another family in Palestine staying in a building with very little food, 2 children and a disabled dad. Mom works but it is not enough. It's cold, raining. Another family of 4 with 2 children, all in 1 bed in a run down hotel room. etc, etc, etc...with God's grace we will find help for them.
God says there will always be poor, hungry, homeless people, but, were we not placed here to do this work? Let people know what it is to be Christ like, let them know who He is? Love them regardless of their mistakes?
Why do they have to be here, so close to home? We have traveled hundreds of miles to pick up people in need, take them to a safe Christian place. Day after Day this past year. Holding and praying with hurting people. Loving them. I miss my church family but don't know where we will be from day to day. God has slowed down my travels, but, not the need. I know others are hard at it too, but, sometimes I wonder where everyone is.

I have posted before that the compinded wealth of the Christians in the US could greatly reduce those forced into poverty. Let me know if you can help financially or as a volunteer.
