*SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT: For the safety of all our kids, we’re asking that only scheduled volunteers enter the children’s wing during services. We’ve had a few moments where kids were picked up without us realizing, which leaves us in a panic as we try to figure out where they are, and we want to make sure every child is always accounted for. This is a safety issue, not a preference.

If you need to pick up your child, just stop by the check-in desk, and we’ll gladly bring them to you. Thank you for helping us keep our kids safe and secure!

*If you would like to serve at VBS please click this link and fill out the form. https://forms.gle/JvsJtJ5HNMEdndHX9 .

*We are about a month out from VBS. We need to order shirts next week. If you would like to order a shirt, respond with the size you need. I will need the order and money by May 17th. If you pay online, please make sure you mark it as VBS and let me know. Shirts will be $13.00 each. Sizes offered are Youth XS - Adult 4XL.

*If you plan for your child to attend Pre-Teen camp, please respond to this email or sign up on the Children's Welcome desk. This is for students who have completed 1st grade - through completed 6th grade (NHBC children only). Sign-ups will close on June 28th.

Take time today to pray as a family—talk and listen to God. Pray these four things:
1. Thank God that He knows every detail, everyone, every hurt, and every situation.
2. Ask God to help you turn to Him and remember the truth about His love when you are struggling.
3. Pray for one another.
4. Choose one or two other people to pray for—that they would know and love the God who knows and loves them so much.

This week kids learned that “God Knows Every Situation.” A man named Nehemiah led God’s people to rebuild the walls of their city of Jerusalem. They faced a lot of opposition, but God showed them He knew their situation and would continue to lead and guide them. Kids learned when we are worried about our circumstances and situations, we can ask God for help and know He provides us with everything we need to make it through hard times. Use interlocking blocks to make a wall, like the one from the Bible story. For each “brick,” share something amazing about God that will encourage you when you face difficult situations.

Help your kids make a prayer chain using strips of paper. Allow them to write or draw people or things they are praying for and what they are thankful for. Make the papers into loops and interlock them together using tape. Hang the chain somewhere that will remind your family to pray and thank God every day.

I have always heard a noisy church is a healthy church. Tonight, the sounds of little feet running, babies crying, and children’s laughter was a reminder that God’s house is alive and growing. Charles Spurgeon once said, “You may speak but a word to a child, and in that child there may be slumbering a noble heart which shall stir the Christian Church in years to come.”

Noise means life. It means children learning, worshiping, and hearts being changed by Jesus. Let’s rejoice in the “HOLY NOISE” that points to a church filled with the next generation rising up in faith.

This week the kids learned that “God Knows Every Hurt” through the story of Job. Job suffered a lot of hurt and loss. Even through the pain and struggles, Job trusted God. God reminded Job that He was all-powerful and always with him. God knows everything about us, even the hurts and struggles we experience. Kids learned that we don’t always understand why bad things happen, but we can trust that God is good. When your kids share struggles this week, teach them to S.E.A.P.—Stop Everything And Pray. Help them know that God knows their hurt and is always there for them.
