Toby Faye Stevens Bedenbaugh, 89, of Palatka, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 29, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Toby was a 1954 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville. She moved to Palatka in 1967 from Brevard County where husband, Jerry H. Bedenbaugh had been stationed with the Florida Highway Patrol. Years ago, Toby worked with K & S Office Machines and as a substitute teacher at Browning Pearce Elementary School. She later served as the office manager at the family business, Brunner Building Supply in East Palatka. Toby was a very active member of Christ Independent Methodist Church and years ago was the full-time pianist at San Mateo Baptist Church. In addition to her never-ending love of playing the piano and singing, she was an excellent cook and enjoyed going shopping. Toby was a devoted wife to her husband Jerry, a dedicated mother in raising her 3 sons and special joy was received when grand and great-grandchildren came into her life. She would light up when her family was around or came by for a visit. Toby was a loyal and caring friend and was also very giving and charitable, donating to numerous ministries and worthy organizations.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Jerry H. Bedenbaugh, a son, Johnny Hugh Bedenbaugh, her parents, John and Helen Stevens, a sister, Mitzi H. Stevens and a great-grandson, John William Bedenbaugh.
Toby is survived by 2 sons, Jeff Bedenbaugh (Pam) and Jed Bedenbaugh (Jessica), both of Palatka, 7 grandchildren, Justin Bedenbaugh (Caitlyn), Jennifer Batchelder (Chris), Austen Bedenbaugh (Jesseca), Lyndsey Ricks (D.J.), Jordan Bedenbaugh (Alyssa), Jerri Mae Hartline (Brandon) and Mit Bedenbaugh (Andelynn) and 7 great-grandchildren, Miley Ricks, Camden Ricks, Payton Bedenbaugh, Raegan Bedenbaugh, Harrison Bedenbaugh, Jocelyn Batchelder and Palmer Faye Bedenbaugh as well as many special friends who were dear to her heart.

Chuck’s service is today, May 11, at 6pm at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka, with visitation prior to service at 5pm.

Charles Alan “Chuck” Faulkner, 44, passed away on May 1, 2026. A lifelong resident of Palatka, he was a proud graduate of Palatka High School, Class of 2000, and dedicated more than two decades of service as a Support Systems Operator with Seminole Electric, Cooperative, Inc.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Brandi Faulkner; his cherished children, Haleigh (Ethan Lumpkin), Hannah, and Jake Faulkner; his parents, Joey and Debbie Faulkner; his sister, Kelly Faircloth; and his maternal grandmother, Mary Doan. He also leaves behind special nieces and nephews: Nolan Faircloth; Jace and Tanner Akers; Nathan and Riley Brand; Conner, Caleb, Cooper, and Callie Revels; Blake Akers; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

For Chuck, hunting was far more than a pastime, it was a calling. He knew the language of the woods: the patience of winter, the promise of spring, the fullness of summer, and the quiet letting go of fall. In the woods, he found both peace and purpose.

Chuck was loyal, strong-willed, and steady in his routines. There were many layers to him, and if you were fortunate enough to peel them back, you found the most gentle and tender version of who he was.

He loved God and his family, and he was selective about those he kept close, and those who were, knew the depth of his loyalty and the quiet strength of his love.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 11, at 5:00 p.m., with a service to follow at 6:00 p.m. at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.

Flowers are gratefully accepted, or memorial contributions may be made in Chuck’s honor to the Live Like Gav Foundation or the Baylee Faith Holbrook Foundation.

In remembering Chuck, may we carry forward his legacy by extending grace, offering forgiveness, and showing compassion to others, especially to those who may be quietly carrying more than we can see.
Memories and condolences may be expressed to the family at Chuck’s Book of Memories page at www.j-ofunerals.com.
Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.
