Pastors from across our community, united around one mission: Jesus. Today wasn’t about church names or denominations. It was about celebrating new believers publicly declaring their faith through baptism.

On Sunday we celebrated the baptism of sweet Emersyn! Family discipleship is an important part of the First Family. We believe that the parents are the greatest influence and guidance in the spiritual walk of a child. What a blessing to see parents baptizing their children in their first steps of obedience following true and lasting salvation. This family is an absolute delight and when you see Emersyn around the church campus be sure so celebrate with her. To God be the glory for everything he has done.

Friday morning we had the honor of inviting Michel Scott to speak to our football players and cheerleaders. Michel is a former Panther cheerleader herself and has been a faithful member of Palatka’s community. She shared with our panthers about being a good steward of what God has given us, our bodies. Thank you Michel and thank you Palatka cheer and football for allowing us to bless you this morning.

Today was our annual Widow and Widowers Banquet and thanks to the deacons along with their wives, and our kitchen team they delivered a fantastic time of fellowship and a delicious meatloaf meal. Special thank you to Pastor Michael Sapp and Christen Sapp for leading us in some great hymns of praise. We are so blessed to have a deacon body who cares so well for the widows and widowers in the church family.

First Palatka is so excited to announce that Rebecca Harkey is our new Discipleship Coordinator. She has a heart to serve and has already been doing so alongside her husband Rev. Vernon Harkey. We are so thankful for her and her family and we are excited to have her join the team officially.
