First Palatka

This morning Pastor Ron continued our “Still Becoming: The Ongoing Work of Sanctification” sermon series. Today’s was “Dead to Sin, Alive to God” with our scripture reference being Romans 6:8-14. At the conclusion of the service Beth came forward. Beth had met with Pastor Ron and felt lead to join with the First Family. We just got better!

This morning we hear from the Hildebrand family who will soon be traveling overseas to be the Lord’s hands and feet in the mission field. They spoke to our First Students FBC Palatka and College and Career ministries in connection with group and then Pastor Ron led them in a time of Q&A in the worship service. We will be praying for them as they prepare for this journey.

The Mega OMC Battle 2026 may not have gone exactly as planned due to weather delays, but the night was still filled with games, laughter, and fellowship.
Thank you to everyone who came, served, and made the evening special—especially our Kitchen Crew for preparing and wrapping all the hot dogs!
Most importantly, the night reminded us why the Church matters.
In John 17:20–24, Jesus prayed for His Church—that we would be united to Him and to one another. The gospel not only changes our individual lives, but it also brings us together as a family of believers.
This is why we gather. This is why fellowship matters. This is why the Church matters.
Even when plans change, God is still at work, and we are thankful for a church family that loves, serves, laughs, and grows together.
