Divine Liturgy is Sunday at 9:30 AM. Vespers is Saturday evening at 5:00 PM. Feast Days as announced. OUR HISTORY
Founded in 1970 as an English-language Orthodox mission, the founders of Holy Resurrection began with a prayer service at Grace Lutheran Church in Prospect Heights, IL. Initially meeting at Prospect High School, the parish purchased property in Palatine in 1975, converting a rectory in
to a chapel. The community continued to grow leading to the construction of a dedicated church in 1983 (now the parish hall) and a new church in 2005. Over its lifetime, Holy Resurrection has evolved into a diverse community of American members from various ethnic backgrounds, including Greek, Carpatho-Russian, Ukrainian, Russian, Serbian, and Romanian. A significant number of converts from Protestant and Roman Catholic backgrounds have also found their spiritual home in our Church. All services are in English. Holy Resurrection’s community life includes a comprehensive Church School program, classes for catechumens, an adult study group, and an active parish choir.
