What does humility really look like in the life of a believer?

This past Sunday at Agape Family Outreach Church, Carl Odom opened the service with an encouraging reminder about trusting God, walking by faith, and continuing to follow His purpose ... even when life doesn’t unfold the way we planned.

Pastor Eric Young then shared a powerful message, “The Measure of Humility,” reminding us through the teachings of Jesus that true spiritual growth isn’t measured by recognition or position. It is revealed through humility, repentance, servant leadership, and a heart that desires for God ... not ourselves... to receive the glory.

This week’s message, “Measuring Spiritual Growth: Renewing the Mind,” reminds us that the world tries to conform our thinking, but God’s Word transforms us. As we let the mind of Christ shape our thoughts, emotions, decisions, and responses, we grow in integrity, obedience, self-control, and spiritual maturity. Get in the Word, let God renew your mind, and remember that His Word gets the final say.

☀️ Sunday’s service was incredibly uplifting, starting with Jason Hink’s encouraging testimony about being called to serve God and living completely set apart for Him.

Pastor Eric Young then continued our "Measuring Spiritual Growth" series with a powerful message on obedience. James 1 reminds us that we are not called to be hearers only, but doers of the Word. 🙌

Spiritual growth is truly seen in the way we respond to God's instruction, love others, keep His Word, and walk as Jesus walked.

This Sunday was a beautiful reminder of God’s grace, His covering over our children, and the call to keep growing in obedience to His Word.

Julie Longoria opened the service by celebrating the back-to-school bash, the joy of the children, and three baptisms, then reminded us from Ephesians 2 that God made us alive in Christ by grace through faith. Pastor Ruth Young encouraged the church in that same grace, challenged parents and grandparents to keep pouring the Word into the children, and led the church in prayer over the new school year.

Pastor Eric Young continued the Measuring Spiritual Growth series with a powerful message on obedience to God’s Word. From James 1:22-25, he reminded us that Spiritual growth is not only measured by what we hear or know, but by whether we become doers of the Word. The Word is seed, but it must be received, obeyed, and put to work in our daily lives.
