includes Children's Church and Fellowship time. Open to All, we love to see old friends and new faces. The Paisley Community Church is an active
nondenominational Christian Church serving the
community and surrounding area of Paisley. We have
been independent and nondenominational since 2013,
previously a United Methodist Church. We hold worship services every Sunday at 10 a.m. We
offer Children’s

Church as part of the service and
encourage fellowship time after Worship. Doors always
open to all, we love to see new faces. We are currently supported in faith by Pastors Lance
and Rebecca Richardson from “The Resting Place,” in
Sisters. The Richardsons travel to Paisley monthly and
often send Worship Leaders to us from “The Resting
Place.” We also have Worship Leaders within our
congregation. We are the current owners and “care takers” of one of
Lake County’s historical treasures, our historical Church
building. Originally the Paisley Methodist Church, was
constructed 1899-1900 and has been a place of worship
for the community continuously since 1901. The Church interior was lovingly restored and painted in
2020 by the congregation with the help of community
volunteers and donations. Restoration included interior
painting, new lighting and fans, and removing 40-year-old
carpet, and refinishing the original wood floors. The exterior was professionally repainted in the summer
of 2024. Painting included the steeple which houses the
original Church Bell that still rings every Sunday. In 2025, we took on the much needed updating and
maintenance of our Fellowship Hall. The building was
built in 1970 by the Paisley High School shop class. The
interior renovation included new paint, new flooring,
and new décor, the majority of the work was done by
Church volunteers. The Maintenance Hall was
completed In July 2025 with much needed professional
exterior painting. Our Church and Fellowship Hall are available for
Community Use. With the recent renovations, our Church and Hall
together with other local facilities and businesses, make
Paisley a lovely, and unique Wedding Venue location. If interested, contact us, we can help.

The tradition of the Chrismon Tree was started in a Church in Virginia in 1957 when Mrs. Spencer was inspired to use Christian symbols in lieu of non-religious décor on her Church’s Christmas Tree. Every aspect of the Chrismon tree has significance, the ornaments are meant to serve as reminders of God’s gift of Jesus Christ, the term Chrismons can be translated to Symbols of Christ, each white and gold ornament holds special significance in the history of Christianity. The white symbolizes the perfection and purity of the Lord, while gold points to His nobility and glory. The tree’s white lights are a reminder to believers that He is the Light of the world and the evergreen symbolizes our own eternal life, a gift of Christ’s sacrifice for us. The Chrismon Service tradition was started in our Paisley Church in the 1990s by Linda Kemry and Jo Hoppe and over the years many Church members volunteered their time to make the Chrismons.
