Good morning New Mt. Olive . For this is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Happy Worship Wednesday.

Verse of the Day: “What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭15‬:‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He’ll leave the 99 just for you!

Jesus is giving a master class on what means to be a Good shepherd. He explains to sinners and those who have gone astray that they can always come home.

God will search high and low for you. No matter what you’ve done. Or how far you’ve left his covering; You can always come home as He loves you.

He will leave the 99 just to come and see about you. I don’t know what other God would accept you after you’ve abandoned them.
So today I worship God because he’s a keeper, sustainer, protector, most importantly a Good father.

The wilderness couldn't hide the sheep, and your past can't hide you from the Shepherd. Traditional math says protect the majority, but Kingdom grace says pursue the one.

Today, stop hiding from the God who is hunting for you. He’s not looking for a reason to reject you; He’s looking for a reason to bring you home. Worship Him today because He is a Good Father who refuses to leave you behind.

Happy Thankful Thursday!

Verse of the Day: “Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: Thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭30‬:‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He Turned it!

King David is thankful unto God for who He is and he praises God for what He’s done. In this particular psalm, David praises God because he has turned his mourning into dancing; his sorrows into joy.

Just when folks think you’re down and out or they feel like they got you, God steps in and gives you a reason to praise Him.

I’m thankful on today because when the devil thought He had me, God came in and did His big one! We have to remember that the greatest weapon in our arsenal is praise.

So when it look like you may be defeated praise God. When the kids and people get on your nerves, praise God. When people you consider “friend” betray you praise God. When your heart has been broken praise God.

The strategy is simple: Just praise God. We thank Him for the Good and the Bad, knowing that a mourning season is often just the setup for a dancing season. When the devil thinks he’s closed the case, God steps in and shows He’s the ultimate closer.

In Luke 8, Jesus has just taught the disciples the Parable of the Sower. As they set out for Gadarenes, a violent storm erupts. The wind is so fierce that the boat begins to take on water. The disciples, terrified, rush to wake Jesus, who is peacefully asleep in the stern. Jesus arises, rebukes the wind and the waves, and restores calm. Then, He poses a haunting question: "Where is your faith?"

Often, like those disciples, when we face a slight inconvenience, we expect the whole world to stop and wait on us. We let our internal chaos dictate our reality. To overcome this, tune in and join us as Minister Breon Case examines three spiritual tools to find peace in the storm.

Thank you all for the unwavering and pouring out of love, prayers, support, thoughts during our time of bereavement as our beloved Pastor Scott Sample takes his rest in eternal glory.

Pastor Scott was a gentle giant proclaiming the Faith everywhere he went. He was a living testimony and the impact he made can be seen in every soul he touched.

He left behind a legacy of integrity, kindness, sound doctrine. We as New Mt. Olive Baptist Church will continue to move forward and honor him as we continue to serve and be on the battlefield for our risen king and savior Jesus Christ.

Please continue to keep us and the Sample Family in prayer and we will do the same for you.

It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my beloved husband, Pastor Scott Sample. I am so grateful for every call, text message, and prayers that has been poured out over me and our family during this time of bereavement. Your love and support mean more than words can express.
Please continue to keep me and our family lifted in prayer as we celebrate his life and honor his memory.
