Where do Ohio’s two major gubernatorial candidates stand on school choice?

Check out this article for a side-by-side look at Amy Acton and Vivek Ramaswamy on education and school choice.

Acton is backed by Ohio’s major teachers unions and supports prioritizing public schools. Ramaswamy supports expanding school choice, including taxpayer-funded scholarships that families can use toward private education. (Ohio Capital Journal)

For families who believe education dollars should follow the student and that parents should have the ability to choose a private school that aligns with their values, this is an issue worth understanding.

Take a look at where the candidates stand and decide for yourself.

Ohio’s candidates for governor have differing ideas when it comes to the future of education — from funding public schools to school vouchers and teacher pay.

OLD GLORY is back in her rightful position on our property!

In HONOR of September 11th, we flew our flags upside down as a symbol of distress and remembrance—reflecting on the attacks we endured and the danger we still face if we FORGET.

Today is September 12th, and while the flags are flying right again, a new danger encroaches: A Divided Citizenry.

“Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.”
— Matthew 12:25 (KJV)

We may disagree, but we must not allow ourselves to become divided.

“Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”
— Matthew 22:39 (KJV)

May God bless America. 🇺🇸
And may He raise up righteous men and women throughout this great land!

Why the upside-down flags?

We display the flags upside down in solemn remembrance of September 11, 2001—a day when our nation was attacked, but also a time when Americans came together with an extraordinary sense of unity, compassion, and patriotism.

Twenty-five years later, our nation is deeply divided. The upside-down flag is a traditional symbol of distress. We use it today to say: our nation is in distress, and we need to remember what 9/11 taught us about standing together.

Jesus said, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.”

May these flags remind us to love our neighbors, protect one another, and pursue righteousness.

May this be our prayer: that America would once again find unity, liberty, and righteousness.

Don't live on old fruit.

God didn't save us so we could spend the rest of our lives talking about what He did ten years ago.

Jesus calls us to abide.
And abiding produces fruit.

Love.
Joy.
Peace.
Longsuffering.
Gentleness.
Goodness.
Faith.
Meekness.
Temperance.

What is God developing in you right now?

What if the thing God wants to remove from our life isn't bad?

We tend to ask:
“Is this wrong?”

But sometimes the better question is:
“Is this helping me bear more fruit?”

Do we trust the Vinedresser?

It's easy to trust God when He's adding something to our lives.
But what happens when He starts taking something away?

John 15 teaches us that the Father is the Vinedresser. He cultivates. He prunes. He determines what stays and what goes.

Sometimes God's pruning isn't removing something sinful.
Sometimes He's removing something that is simply keeping us from bearing more fruit.

The question is:
Do I trust the Father enough to let Him work in me, on me, and through me?

What a great start to Revival! 🙌 We kicked things off Saturday night with a great outing at the Lake County Captains. Then on Sunday, we enjoyed wonderful choir and special music, along with two great messages from God’s Word.

We’re excited for the next three days of "Junior Revival" for 4-year-olds to middle school running alongside our main services! Pray that God will work in the hearts and lives of our young people—and in the hearts and lives of the whole family! 🙏

I’m so thankful for this transparent testimony.

Over the last couple of months, as we’ve watched two prominent preachers fall, we’ve discussed in our home the danger of growing up in a Christian environment and missing our real need for Christ.

When you don’t grow up around Christianity, your sin can be very clear, and the change at salvation can be very evident. But when you grow up in church, hear Bible preaching, and are surrounded by Christian people, it can be easy to become familiar with Christianity without ever truly recognizing your own sin and need for a Savior.

Have your children in church. Give them a biblical home. Surround them with God’s Word. But don’t mistake a Christian environment for genuine salvation.

It is possible to have Jesus’ truth all around you and still miss Jesus Himself.

We need to pray for our children without ceasing!
