Examples of Military Prayer Squares sent to service men and women. If you know of someone who would appreciate knowing he/she is being prayed for, please private message. We’ve sent these to troops, squadrons, platoons, and military personnel in other crisis beyond active duty.

so you know how there's that weight that can hang on the edges of you, so you just keep holding your breath, so you just keep forgetting to breathe?

Feel the weight of all that melt like thinning snow in the heat of His words for you right now: “I will bless you.” (Genesis.12)

He will not burden you.
He will not break you.
He will *bless you* —
the God of invincible reliability, the God who has infinite resources, the God who is insistent love.

You can always go ahead & breathe—He will bless.
You can always breathe when you know all is grace.
And that is exactly the order of grace…
Notice how the personal blessings envelop you first ---
Then you will be a noticeable blessing sent out into the world.

That is the gentle soul-talk for today:
"I will let myself not be overwhelmed with the season, but be overwhelmed with the goodness of God, *so I can then overflow with the goodness of God to others.*

I will be experienced as a blessing *by others, to the extent I have slowed down -- and counted blessings -- and first *experience myself as blessed.*

The greatest gift God graces a soul with is His own presence."

In 2015, because of this page, a young woman saw this page and requested prayer quilts. Not only had she battled cancer, a couple of her friends were also battling cancer.

Yesterday morning, I got an email from her asking if we are still making prayer quilts. She said she has a couple more friends who have cancer. BUT she also excitedly shared the miracle of HER story.

The following is her story and the picture is the miracle. God is so good. All the time.

So since my medical team wasn't sure I would live when I was diagnosed, they didn't do anything to preserve my eggs during aggressive chemo. When we realized my odds were getting better, they since me to a fertility specialist to assess the damage that chemo did....and it was the worst possible. My AMH levels were ZERO which meant that the chemo "killed all my eggs"....which as we know we are born with so they do not regenerate. They couldn't even do IVF since all my eggs were dead.

At 3 yrs post diagnosis I fell pregnant!! It was such a miracle and the drs were stumped! Chloe was SO HAPPY & we found out on her 3rd birthday. Unfortunately when we went for our 9 week ultrasound, we found no heartbeat. I was then diagnosed with a "missed misscarage" since there was no bleeding...and I had to have a D&C surgery. It was the hardest trial I have ever conquered....even harder than being diagnosed with aggressive cancer when pregnant. Chloe was devastated along with us. The doctors told us it was a medical fluke & once again told us it was "impossible" to conceive....but Chloe never gave up!!

Chris & I made peace with God's plan for us to have an only child, and we praised him for our healthy 3 yr old!! This whole time Chloe shared she was "praying every day" for a sister & this broke our hearts since we knew what the doctors said....but this opened up many conversations about "Gods will superseding our own" which is a great lesson for her (and everyone!)

On Jan 29th of last year, 3.5 year old Chloe woke up from her nap to excitedly tell me about how she had "heard Gods voice"!! She told me that He told her "there is a new baby in your mommy's tummy....and this one will make it". I would like to tell you I believed her & rejoiced....but we were so saddened by this since we knew it was "impossible". We worried about how her young faith would handle the news when she found out there was no baby. She CONSISTENTLY told us about this "new baby" for 9 days and never wavered. We spoke a lot about discernment & how sometimes we want to hear Gods voice so bad we think we do. I even asked her if maybe she was sleeping...to which she replied "No."

On February 7th of last year, 4 days before my period was due, I took a test to show Chloe the negative....AND IT WAS POSITIVE!!! OUR GOD IS SO GOOD!!
He heard all of Chloe's daily prayers for a sister....and He answered them!! AND THEN He told her that he answered them a full 9 days before any of us could even test!

Our group met yesterday for a Sewing work day. We made more progress on the military prayer squares. We are thankful to a small group of Cobbled Court Quilt Circle who contributed some of the squares and some fabric. We are praying for these service men and women even before they receive their squares.

Though our group stays busy in the background making prayer quilts, we occasionally receive requests for other projects, such as military prayer squares. Several of us were able to meet today. We have a need for 66 prayer squares which will be going to a troop in Kuwait. Today, we made about 40 and will make the remainder throughout this week. It seems particularly fitting to be remembering our troops this holiday weekend, but we are encouraged to pray daily that God protects our troops as they protect us. Here are some pictures from our wonderful time together today.

From time to time, we hear about other opportunities to serve using our craft in making items other than prayer quilts. Once we made over 60 little dresses for girls in an orphanage in Haiti. Most recently, it came to my attention that clothing protectors were needed by a friend who lives in a nursing home. Here's the first set presented to my dear friend whose husband will receive several. The rest will go to other residents in the nursing home. I'm blessed every time I see this sweet spirited lady. She teaches me through her own life lessons. I'm humbled and blessed to present her with the first batch. We have more on the way. As I sew, I pray the Lord will bless each recipient with whatever is needed.
