My great heartache is that I was prone to wander. Prone to leave the God I love. My testimony is an amazing spiritual adventure: most of which is present tense. Spiritual warfare is present tense. My addition, and the threat of any relapse is present tense: my Recovery; my lifestyle change is present tense. And O’ to grace how great a debtor I am. Through prayer and faith that works, I was shown the fellowship of Celebrate Recovery and the walk through its biblical principles for making life’s healing choices.
Come, thy fount of every blessing… Oh to grace how great a debtor, daily I am constrained to be. Let thy goodness like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to thee: Prone to wander, Lord. I feel it. Prone to leave the God I love. Here’s my heart O’ take and seal it. Seal it for thy courts.

There is much to me thankful for: and much am praying for, in advancing the ministry - the gospel of Jesus in our community. Those of you who care about this important ministry - those of you who love me, I solicit your prayers. Please respond.

Listen to thus says the LORD; "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery".Galatians 5:1 NIV
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God
John 1:12 NIV
Dear Believers, I agree with Paster Rick Warren when he says; "Many are losing their hope for the future. It seems every one needs to recover from something. But the good news is that Jesus gave us a way to recover that will work for every problem we face". Speaking for myself, I have met Christians involved in Celebrate Recovery, Step Study courses, and becoming leaders in faciltating the Study courses for more than twelve years.. in their determination not to be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. And so we remain alert; praying and watching in the Spirit - walking by faith in Jesus' words, his revealed principles for living.

The Heart of the Matter.. If it be our care to act under the guidance and power of the blessed Spirit, though we may not be freed from the stirrings and oppositions of the corrupt nature which remains in us, it shall not have dominion over us. Believers are engaged in a conflict, in which they earnestly desire that grace may obtain full and speedy victory. And those who desire thus to give themselves up to be led by the Holy Spirit, are not under the law as a covenant of works, nor exposed to its awful curse. Their hatred of sin, and desires after holiness, show that they have a part in the salvation of the gospel. // Matthew Henry's commentary on Galatians chapter 5.

Thus far, we've been able to keep the promise. The Fourth of July, our doors were open last night. Our numbers were few. But we were willing to claim the promise of Matthew 18:20. "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them". Our time together last night was less structured, more informal. We talked about our C.R. journey thus far. Our commitment to health, and wholeness, and spiritual maturity is still in tact. There was a natual period of quiet reflection. And I felt we did come away with a renewed sense of purpose. Which is, while our recovery is personal; the doors opened on the Fourth of July affirms; its not just about us: but more about the radical priority of Jesus in our Community. The Pilgrim's progress is a road least traveled. "Prone to wander, Lord. I feel it. Prone to leave the God I love. Here’s my heart O’ take and seal it. Seal it for thy courts above".

It's time to start writing your Inventory. You may ask, what's a Celebrate Recovery Inventory? This coming Tuesday evening, Lesson 9 will answer your questions and provide you with the tools you need to get started.

Dear GOD, Thank you that you love us all, no matter where we are in our recoveries. Show me the person you have prepared to be my Sponsor. Someone able to coach and guide me through my Celebrate Recovery program, amen. Hope to see you this Tuesday evening.

Last evening, everyone was in agreement. Lesson 6 entitled, ACTION; was motivating, and spiritually uplifting! Jesus is our Higher Power.

03/24/2017

This upcoming week's lesson is entitled "Turn". We made a decision to turn our lives and our will over to Christ's care and control. "Happy are the meek" (Matthew 5:5). A question many of us might ask ourselves is "Why is it so hard to Trust and Turn our lives over to the care and control of God, whose eye is always upon us anyway? The will of God is our highest good.

This week our review is Lesson 4; "S.A.N.I.T.Y."
Insanity has been described as "doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result each time". C.R. is big on anonymity and confidentiality.
Come join us.
