We make this gesture so many times a day — when we wake up, before meals, when we enter the church, and before we sleep. But do we fully understand what the Sign of the Cross truly means? It is not just a habit — it is our first prayer, our profession of faith, and our daily protection against evil.

✨ 3 THINGS TO REMEMBER:
✅ A PROFESSION OF OUR FAITH
When we say “In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,” we are declaring our belief in the Holy Trinity — one God in three Divine Persons. The cross itself reminds us of Jesus’ sacrifice and love for us.
✅ EACH MOVEMENT HAS MEANING
Hand to forehead → May God be in my mind
Hand to chest/heart → May God be in my heart
Hand to left shoulder, then right → May God be in my strength and actions
It is a prayer that blesses our whole being — body, mind, and soul.
✅ OUR DAILY SPIRITUAL PROTECTION
The Sign of the Cross is a powerful weapon against the evil one. It is a visible sign that we belong to Christ, and we are not ashamed to show it. Early Christians used it to protect themselves — and we continue this beautiful tradition today.

Ngayong araw ginugunita natin na si Maria, ang ating Ina, ay hindi hinayaan ng Diyos na manatili sa libingan.

Iniakyat siya ng Diyos sa langit - katawan at kaluluwa.

Bakit?
Dahil ang sinapupunan na nagdala kay Jesus, ang mga kamay na kumalinga sa Kanya, at ang pusong laging nagsabi ng "Mangyari nawa ayon sa iyong salita"... ay karapat-dapat sa kaluwalhatian ng langit.

With deep sorrow, the Manus Christi Community joins the family of Nanay Mary Quijano, mother of Sr. Epie, Sr. Lerma and Sr. Stella, in mourning her passing on August 15, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

A devoted daughter of Mary, a loving wife and mother, and a faithful Catholic, Nanay Mary was also a cherished benefactor and supporter of Manus Christi.

May the Lord, whom she faithfully loved and served, grant her eternal rest, and may perpetual light shine upon her forever.

Rest in Peace, Nanay Mary. You will always be remembered with love and gratitude. 🙏🕊️

Bishop Elmer encourages everyone to discover the inspiring life of Saint Charbel Makhlouf—a humble monk whose powerful intercession has been associated with countless reported healings and extraordinary favors around the world. May his witness lead us to a deeper trust in God's mercy.

Those who have received the blessed oil are encouraged to prepare a small bottle of olive oil and pour the blessed oil into it, allowing this sacramental to be shared with more people. As your bottle is used, you may continue to replenish it from the original blessed oil.

The oil has been brought into contact with the relics of Saint Charbel and is given to us as a sacramental—a sacred sign that reminds us of God's healing grace and the power of prayer through the intercession of the saints. 📍 MANUS CHRISTI AT PCNE 2026 | Day 2: Called to Greater Love 🤍

Love is more than words: it is a MISSION.

On the second day of the Philippine Conference on the New Evangelization (PCNE 2026), our delegates were invited to rediscover Christ's call to greater love and fruitful mission. Through inspiring talks, meaningful workshops, and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, we were reminded that true love is lived through service, compassion, and genuine friendship rooted in Christ.

As missionaries of the Gospel, may we choose kindness over division, become instruments of hope both online and offline, and bear fruits that will remain by first allowing God's love to transform our hearts.

"We cannot give what we do not have: to bring love to others, we must first let God's love transform us."

📍 MANUS CHRISTI AT PCNE 2026 | Day 1: Friendship with Christ 🤝

A meaningful beginning for our Manus Christi delegates, Br. Geri Mariñas and Br. Jamvhille, as they join the Philippine Conference on New Evangelization (PCNE) 2026.

From the Holy Mass and inspiring talks to moments of prayer, reflection, the Eucharist, and Reconciliation, Day 1 was a beautiful reminder that evangelization begins with a personal friendship with Jesus.
