✨From Manus Christi Central Apostolic HouseBeloved Brethren,Our home — the Manus Christi Central Apostolic House — stands as a house of prayer, and now, as we draw near to the commemoration of All Souls, our hearts turn with special love to those who have gone before us.

🕯️We have begun our daily Novena for the Holy Souls, lifting up in prayer our dearly departed loved ones in preparation for the coming All Souls Day. This is the most blessed time of the year to remember them, to pray for them, and to offer our love through prayer.

🙏 We invite you to send us the names of your beloved departed ones — so that we may include them in our daily Novena prayers here at the Central Apostolic House.

🕯️ A special tribute: On the 9th and final day of our Novena, we will light one candle for each soul whose name has been entrusted to us. Each flame will represent a life remembered, a love cherished, and a prayer offered — so they may know they are not forgotten, but held close in our hearts.

And let this also remind you, our dear brethren: not only in these days, but always — here at the Central Apostolic House, we remember all of you in our prayers, every single day.

You are never far from our thoughts or from God’s loving care. May our prayers bring them peace, and may God grant them eternal rest and perpetual light. Si St. John Paul II — hindi lang Santo, *TATAY at LOLO ng kabataang Katoliko!*

*BAKIT SIYA ANG PATRON NATIN?*

*1. CO-PATRON NG WORLD YOUTH DAY*
Siya ang nagtatag ng WYD noong 1985. Sabi niya: "Hindi kayo tinawag para mamuhay nang matamlay, kundi para sa kadakilaan." Kaya hanggang ngayon, milyon-milyon pa ring kabataan ang sumisigaw: JP II, WE LOVE YOU!

*2. PATRON NG MGA KABATAANG KATOLIKO (CATHOLIC YOUTH BRIGADE, this is us!)*
Hindi siya takot sa kabataan. Niyakap niya tayo kahit maingay, makulit, at makasalanan. Dahil alam niyang si Kristo mismo ay naging kabataan din.

BEARERS OF GOD’S IMAGE

29th Sunday in Ordinary Time – Sunday for Cultures / World Mission Sunday

Matthew 22:15–21

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
In today’s Gospel, Jesus gives us an answer that goes far beyond politics and taxes: “Render to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and to God what belongs to God.”

The coin bears the image of Caesar, and therefore belongs to Caesar. But there is a deeper truth: we bear the image of God, and therefore our entire lives belong to Him.

We are not merely taxpayers, citizens, workers, or members of a particular culture. Before anything else, we are sons and daughters of God, created in His image and called to reflect His love, His goodness, and His holiness.

Ang pera ay maaaring ibuwis sa pamahalaan, ang serbisyo ay maaaring ihandog sa lipunan, ngunit ang buong pagkatao natin—ang ating puso, budhi, at kaluluwa—ay kaloob ng Diyos at nararapat na ialay sa Kanya.

But what does it mean to belong to God?

It does not mean withdrawing from the world. Rather, it means bringing God into the world through the way we live, serve, and love.

We give God what is His when we allow His image in us to become visible in our treatment of others.
This is especially meaningful on World Mission Sunday and Sunday for Cultures.

Every person, whatever their nationality, language, culture, or social status, bears the image of God. No culture is beyond the reach of the Gospel, and no human being is beneath our dignity and respect.

Kaya ang pagiging misyonero ay hindi lamang pagpunta sa malalayong lugar upang mangaral. Nagsisimula ito sa ating tahanan, sa ating komunidad, at sa ating pakikitungo sa mga taong naiiba sa atin. We become missionaries whenever we build bridges instead of walls, promote peace instead of hatred, defend the dignity of the poor instead of exploiting them, and protect God's creation instead of destroying it for selfish gain.

My dear brothers and sisters, perhaps the greatest question today is not simply, “What do I owe God?” but rather, “Can people still recognize the image of God in me?”

Can they see Him in my words, in my decisions, in my concern for the poor, in my respect for other cultures, and in my courage to stand for what is right?

Let us not give God merely our spare time, our leftover energy, or the little that costs us nothing. Let us offer Him our whole hearts—not only in prayer and worship, but also in a life that becomes a living witness to His love.

We bear God's image not merely to be reminded of whose we are, but to reveal to the world who God is.

Sa ating minamahal na MC Community, Ang Novena ay panalangin sa loob ng siyam na magkakasunod na araw. Nagsimula ito noong panahon ng mga Apostol — pag-akyat ni Hesus sa langit, sila at si Maria ay nanalangin nang siyam na araw bago dumating ang Espiritu Santo.

❓ BAKIT TAYO GUMAGAWA NG NOVENA?
✅ Para sa mga Kaluluwa sa PurgatoryoIto ang ating pagmamahal sa mga yumao — hindi na sila makapanalangin para sa sarili, kaya tayo ang gumagawa para sa kanila. Ang ating panalangin ay tumutulong sa kanila upang makarating sa langit.
✅ Bilang pagpaparangal sa mga SantoBago ang kanilang kapistahan, tayo ay naghahanda sa pamamagitan ng panalangin. Sila ay lumalapit sa Diyos para sa atin — tayo naman ay nagtutulad sa kanilang kabanalan.
✅ Para sa ating mga kahilinganIpinapakita nito ang ating pananampalataya — hindi tayo sumusuko. Tulad ng sinabi ni Hesus: Magpatuloy kayo sa paghingi, at kayo ay bibigyan.

SERVIAM — Maglilingkod Ako
SERVIAM — Mananalangin ako, magtitiwala, at magmamahal nang walang pagod.Tulad ni Maria at ng mga Apostol — tapat at puno ng pag-asa.

Let us pray for Pope Leo XIV as he undergoes lung surgery. May the Lord guide the hands of the medical team, grant His Holiness a successful procedure and full recovery, and strengthen him in his ministry. We entrust him to the loving intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes, Health of the Sick.

Today we joyfully celebrate the 41st Presbyteral Anniversary of Most Rev. Jose Elmer I. Mangalinao, D.D. — forty one blessed years of saying “yes” to God’s call. 🙏

Thank you, Bishop Elmer, for your love, guidance, and unwavering dedication to the Church. Your life is a true witness of God’s grace and faithfulness. 💛
